We'd had this conversation before, and every time we did, it left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and in a foul mood. Sara tried not to let her disability define her human half, but it affected her wolf half, and being omega would not help it any.

"If someone other than Sara had seen us going at each other like that..." Cole came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder. "You know it's a struggle to fight our animal's instincts, especially when there are others around."

My grip tightened on the side of the sink. "I know. Which is why I couldn't stop my wolf from going after you. What are we going to do? Your wolf isn't just going to let you share her."

He squeezed my shoulder and then leaned against the counter next to me, a thoughtful look on his face. "I don't think Ivy's wolf is going to let me push you out of the picture. She might not fully recognize you as her mate yet, but you haven't spent as much time with her as I have."

Grunting, I pushed off the sink and leaned against the opposite counter. "Man, she must be something special. I've never heard of one, let alone two mates. Not in real life, anyway."

"Yeah, well, she must have some serious pussy mojo going on then." Cole looked in the sink and then turned on the water to rinse the dishes. He really couldn't stand for them to be left there. "She had a book in her bedroom that had one woman and multiple men as lovers."

"Oh, reverse harem?" I perked up. Some of the other wolves read a lot too, but not anyone I would freely admit my tastes to.

"Do I even want to know how you know it's called that?" Cole loaded the dishwasher.

"You learn a lot from reading romance. You should try it sometime." Cole was the only one who knew my reading preferences. If anyone else knew, they'd never stop teasing me. "It's a glimpse into the female mind and what she really wants from a man... or men."

"And what's that?" He turned to look at me while drying his hands. "Share this knowledge you've learned; I need all the help I can get."

"Well, uh..." No one had ever asked me for details about what I read, so I said the first thing that came to mind. "Orgasms. Lots and lots of orgasms."

Cole cracked a smile and threw the drying rag at my face. "No, really? I thought you were going to say double vaginal penetration."

"Well, that too." My face was undoubtedly red from embarrassment. "Are we good now?"

"For now." He grabbed his laptop off the table. "Finish your lunch, Eli. You might need your energy for whatever might transpire in a few hours."

Did he mean with the pack meeting or with Ivy?

Ivy

Two mates?

I didn't know what to do with that. I had just come to terms with the fact that Cole was something more than just an alpha. My body was still thrumming from the sex we had and the thought of all the sex to come.

Then there was Eli. I didn't know much about him other than he ranked low in the wolf hierarchy and was Cole's best friend. What the hell was I going to do?

I didn't know what a mate bond felt like, but my wolf preened when I looked at or thought about either of them. The feeling had been strong when I was shifted. Crap, was I going to have sex as a wolf? I shuddered and wished I had my phone to call someone.

I stared at my unpacked boxes, considering my options. Was I really going to give up my life and live with the pack? I didn't think I had much of a choice, at least until I figured out how to control myself.

Pulling the box closest to me over, I opened it and pulled out a framed picture of me and my parents. Tears welled in my eyes as I remembered how good they had always been to me. There had never been any doubt that they were my parents, and knowing they had kept something so monumental from me was a low blow.

They had twenty-five years to tell me, and they chose not to. It made me wonder if they were hiding something. Was it possible they knew I was something other than human?

Growing up, there had been moments that suggested something was different, but nothing that would have warranted a more thorough investigation of my history. Unless I was missing something.

I put the photo on the nightstand and pulled out the next photo of me and Riley. We had been instant best friends since Kindergarten, when I saw her across the classroom. After finding out she was a siren, I assumed it was some magnetic pull she had, but now I wondered if it was something more.

There was a soft knock at the door, and I almost dropped the picture as I dug through my memories, looking for signs I was a wolf. I put the picture next to the one of my parents and made my way around the maze of boxes and bags. I brought way too much, but I wasn't sure how long I was staying, and it didn't sound like another trip to pack more stuff was in the cards. Especially after Silas showed up at my house. I didn't even know what to think of that whole encounter. My wolf had been curious.

I opened the door to find Eli standing outside with a sheepish smile on his face. He was taller than Cole but was slimmer and had more of a boyish charm about him. He was probably around my age, or maybe a little younger. His twin sister looked younger than me.

"Hi." Inwardly, I cringed at my awkward greeting. I didn't get nervous around men, but he made me feel a flutter in my stomach.

"Hi." He ran his fingers through his dark hair and looked around me at the unpacking I still had to do. "Do you need help unpacking? We have about an hour before the pack meeting."
