Chapter 14

Camellia

Ric sat up suddenly, making me feel way more exposed than I had been with him in my lap. At least with his head there, I had mostly been covered.

I scrambled to my sleeping bag and slid inside.

"I'm curious too. Why were you naked?" Lucifer was looking at me.

I was speechless. I felt guilty as hell, but why should I? They were the ones who continued to provoke me sexually.

Ric ran his hand over his shaved head, not caring that by pulling his knees to his chest, he was giving all of us quite a view of his male anatomy.

"We're all mates."

Lucifer shifted from one foot to the other and put his hands in his pants pockets. He broke his eye contact with me and looked at Ric. "What do you mean, we're all mates?"

"All of us. We're all mates." Ric sighed. "The voice in my head said so."

"The voice in your head said so," Lucifer repeated, no emotion in his voice.

Kai choked on a laugh and then cleared his throat. "So, let me get this straight. The voice inside your head told you we're all mates? This from the same man who swears he can understand a monkey's squeaking?"

"Well, it definitely didn't say mate. It was plural. Plural means more than one, doesn't it?" I could tell Ric was getting agitated by his clipped tone. "Why else would I be so drawn to you two assholes? If you had been anyone else but my mates, I would have killed your asses by now. It makes so much sense."

"You didn't answer my question. Why were you naked?" Lucifer looked back at me.

Iwas starting to get agitated now. Who cared why we were naked? We were both adults. "Why do you think?"

Lucifer's nostrils flared, and he took a deep breath. Probably a calming breath. He pinned Ric with a look that showed no mercy. "You were supposed to wait."

Kai took a step back as the heat in the room increased. I hadn't asked, but I was pretty sure Lucifer could control ambient temperature in rooms.

Before either of them could attack, I stood, pulling the sleeping bag with me. "That's such bullshit, and you know it. If this is how you three are going to act, then I'm done. Which is a shame because we haven't even really started yet."

The cave was silent besides the crackle of the fire and a small noise from inside Ric's backpack where Picard had gone.

"And you!" I jabbed Lucifer in the chest with my finger. "Why are you mad about this? You and Kai have both been with me while Ric just sits on the sidelines, waiting patiently."

Lucifer backed away and jabbed his fingers through his hair. "He swore to an oath. What am I supposed to do if he gets stuck as a wolf, and you get stuck as a-" His voice cracked, and my heart plummeted in my chest.

Kai came to stand next to me. "We're all scared, but we can't start getting into fights over shit like them enjoying themselves."

He stepped forward and then pulled Lucifer into a hug. Lucifer stiffened at first, but then he put his arms around Kai and hugged him back.

Ric stood and pulled me against him. "Let's start our own hug."

I snorted and looked up at him. He brought a hand to my cheek, caressed it, then dropped to the sleeping bag, pulling it away from me. The warm air in the cave hit my skin, and despite the warmth, it made me shiver.

He pulled my body against his again and wrapped his arms around me. I could stay wrapped in his arms forever, except Lucifer had come to stand behind me. His suit brushed against my back as he lowered his lips to kiss my shoulder.

I leaned back against him as his hands went to my waist, and his mouth moved along my neck, scraping his teeth over the sensitive skin.

Ric captured my lips in a kiss that made my head swim with want. I was more turned on by the fact that I was sandwiched between two alpha men, and they weren't biting each other's heads off.

Ric cupped my breasts before lowering his mouth to a nipple, taking the sensitive flesh in his mouth and sucking. Lucifer kissed the shell of my ear, and Kai joined in by taking my other nipple in his teeth and biting gently.

Kai lowered to his knees, and Ric's lips were back on mine, a growl leaving him.
