He couldn't be. There was no way that I had invited the devil into my home.

"Get out," I said as calmly as possible. The last thing I wanted was for them to be getting into a fistfight in front of me, especially if one was the devil and the other a wolf.

This was my life now, but maybe it didn't need to be.

All three sets of eyes landed on me. I grabbed my cell phone and dialed nine-one-one, but didn't press the green call button.

Pain flashed through Lucifer's eyes. I had a second of regret, but then I brushed it aside.

"I can take care of myself." I closed the doughnut box and then shoved it at Kai. "Now get out, or I'm calling the police."

Kai and Lucifer walked out without another word and left me with Ric.

"Do you want me to leave too?"

I sighed. Part of me did want him to leave, but the other part of me wanted him to stay. It had been a long time since I lived with anyone, but with him around, I didn't feel so lonely.

"You can stay. But any more talk of experimenting on me, and you'll be out on your ass."

I had less than a month to figure out my shit. I didn't need three men making matters worse.
