“More like some pussy,” Bear teases, and I don’t stop Tracker from smashing Bear in the ribs with his fist. Although Tracker doesn’t say it, we know he has a woman out north in some town called Vixen Falls. He met her back when he was out looking for his brother, Tate. His brother left town to join the Sinner’s MC club, with no word to Tracker about his plan. Back then Tracker used to work for the FBI, so we get that Tate didn’t want to mention he was joining a club, but fuck, that’s his brother, man. When Tracker headed to Vixen Falls searching for him, he ran into some woman. And that’s all we know. We don’t have a name because he never talks about her. We only found out because Tate happened to mention it one night at the club when he was pissed as fuck. Why Tracker’s keeping it a secret, I have no clue. Does he think we won’t approve? I have no idea. Every time I go to mention it, he changes the subject. I guess when he’s ready he’ll tell us. We deserve to meet the woman.
“Tracker, baby, where have you been?”
Tash walks through the compound and slides up against Tracker, pulling on the back of his bandana. Tracker is a good-looking man, mocha skin, light eyes, and black hair. We used to think he was Jamaican or something. Turns out his background is Spanish, though. Tash is another one of the club’s whores. She’s pretty and all, with bronze-colored skin, hazel eyes, and long brown hair, with a body that’s rounded in all the right places. Could Tash have anything to do with him not speaking of his woman? We don’t judge a brother until he’s made a woman his ol’ lady, and from what we know, he hasn’t gone there yet.
Tash whispers into Tracker’s ear, and he smiles wide. “Brothers, I’m gonna have to leave you both, seems I’ve got some lost time I need to make up for.”
“Before you go, Tracker, man, I need to have words with you,” I say, not wanting to let Tracker go before I tell him that I’m leaving for a while, not just heading off on a quick run.
His eyebrows shoot together, then he slaps Tash’s ass and tells her he’ll meet her in his room. She pouts her lips but does as he says, taking off toward the corridor to the brothers’ rooms.
Grabbing a stool, he slides it over so he’s sitting in front of us. “Coffee, Tracker?” Daisy asks.
“Sure, thanks, Daisy.” He grabs the mug out of her hands and takes a sip. “So, what have I missed?” he asks, his eyes travelling from me to Bear and then back to me.
I sigh and place my mug on the bar. “I’m leaving today, don’t know how long for, just going out to see my sister for a while.”
His eyebrows raise. “What do you mean, you don’t know how long for? How long does it take to see your sister? And why didn’t I know you had one?”
“Had what?”
“A sister, man?”
“Because, fuckers, you don’t need to know about her, she’s not something I want to bring into this club.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Tracker replies, taking another sip of his coffee. He narrows his eyes at me. “So what’s the real reason, brother?”
“What do you mean the real reason?” I respond warily.
“This ain’t like you, Trigg. She sick? Needs you?”
“No. Can’t a guy just go and visit his sister, for fuck’s sake?”
“Sure he can, but not when he says he doesn’t know how long for.”
Frustrated that he’s questioning me, I stand, pushing back my stool.
“Aye,” Tracker says, gripping my arm, halting me from storming out. “I don’t know what’s up with you lately, but you don’t seem yourself.”
I look over at Bear and see concern etched in his face.
“I’m fine, Tracker, I just need time away from this club.”
Tracker looks at Bear, and they both nod in what I take as understanding.
“What the fuck, Tracker?”
Tracker looks around the club, noticing some of the people lying around are waking up from their drunken states.
“Now’s not the time, but brother, if you need anything, I got your back. You can talk to me.”
“Fuck me! Why does everyone in this fucking club think I need to talk about shit. I. Have. Nothing. I need. To talk. About. Get that through your fucking heads,” I say, pissed off as fuck, and storm away to go pack my bag. I pass Honey on the way, and she tries to get my attention but I shrug her off and head straight to my room.
