Quill leaves Jasmine’s side and grasps both my shoulders, squeezing them tightly to get my attention.
“He’s fine, Lu. I promise.”
His promise has me feeling relieved, and I smile. “Okay.”
“That’s my girl. Now, are you okay about the douche?”
“Oh that?” I say waving my hand. “He was nothing. Thanks to Torch.”
Quill nods once then looks back at Jasmine. “Wanna dance?”
As “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay plays throughout the club, Jasmine squeals. “Really?”
“Babe, it gives me an excuse to get my hands all over you.”
“Get a room!” I shout over the loud music, teasing.
Quill winks at me before he leads Jasmine to the dance floor.
Tristan holds his hand out to me. “Shall we?”
I smile at him and happily take his hand. “We shall.”
