Novak shoves two fingers inside my core, slamming deep. Oh, okay, that works. My hands move into his hair, preparing to reposition him where it’ll feel the best.
Only, his tongue hits my clit, moving at super speed, and my whole body jolts. Terribly embarrassing sounds spill from my lips as he focuses on turning me into a puddle of goo. My thighs shake, then fall to the mattress when my feet give up on holding them up. My legs end up in a V with my toes digging into his ribs.
Novak knows exactly where to aim his fingers to push against my G-spot with every thrust of his hand into my core.
A ridiculous amount of time later, my pleasure builds to the point I can’t hold back my orgasm. My top half curves off the mattress as euphoria rips through my cells.
Sex is so much more intense as a vampire, and my body trembles and shakes for what feels like ages.
Novak chuckles, and the cool air over my clit makes my nipples tighten painfully. “If we had time, I’d do that another half dozen times.” He rakes his teeth over my thigh, and I groan. “We’ll have to settle for picking this up later.”
Yes, we definitely will.
I need the chance to make him feel as incredible as he just made me feel.
Reign appears shortly after Novak and I step out of the shower. My vampire heads into his room to get dressed, but Reign smirks and prowls closer, looking more dangerous than I knew possible.
He’s always lighthearted and has this easygoing energy that’s addictive. It makes me feel safe, but at the moment, I feel hunted. My back hits the wall as the mimic comes to a stop in front of me. He’s so tall, I have to tilt my head back and it kind of twists against the wall because I have nowhere else to retreat to.
“What do you have in mind for tonight, darling? Something a little flirty, or should we go for demure to confuse the council?” he asks with his big gray eyes sparkling.
“Whatever you think is appropriate,” I say, studying his handsome face. He really does have a vibe, with the runes going all the way up into the shaved hair on the sides of his head and down to his fingers.
“Novak is too…” Reign frowns. “Well, I wouldn’t have thought the wordhonorablewould pop into my mind, but that’s the one I’m going with. He’s too honorable to ask you to lie to the council on his behalf.”
“Why would I need to lie?”
“Not about the details of your original maker, nor about the specifics of your initial turning.” Reign shrugs. “The humans we used in your transformation made a tiny little complaint.”
I gasp and my eyes widen. “Oh God, I don’t remember anything… Just tell me what to say.”
“If you don’t remember anything regarding the humans, then that’s perfect. All you have to do is be honest about your lack of memories. Seiran, Novak, and I will do the rest.” He tugs the knot on my towel. “Now, let’s see what I can create to make you look like a sweet, non-dangerous vampire.”
“Thank you,” I whisper, still captivated by his piercing gaze.
“Always, darling,” he murmurs, sliding his hand down my front. “Dressing you brings me joy.”
I glance down, looking at the white lacy dress he covers me with. It’s fitted around my chest and flares out around my hips.My toes wiggle, and I pull my foot up to check out the tan and white ballet flat.
“How did you know I prefer flats over heels?” I ask, fluttering my lashes and tilting my head up toward his.
“Lucky guess.” He chuckles, dipping his head to mine as his shadows pull me flush to his front.
Reign is certainly delicious in his own right.
Bart is verytake no bullshit, and I’m not sure he believes me, even though I’ve been nothing but truthful. He seems annoyed as he scribbles on the notebook laid out on the table in between us.
“Cole,” he says, narrowing his eyes. “That’s all you’ve got. No last name, no maker information, justCole.”
I swallow thickly, nodding. “That is correct. Um, I know he was new to town. I think he was staying at a friend’s house…” Wow, it does sound like I’m lying to cover for him. “But the more I think about it, I believe it’s possible he compelled me before trying to turn me. I don’t know about the housing market in Black Cove, but trying to find a place to live in Haven is insanely difficult. I feel like I would have pressed for more information if he hadn’t compelled me not to.” My head continues bobbling up and down, like I can force him to believe me if I try hard enough.
“That’s not much to go on,” Bart says, dropping his pen. “I’ll reach out to Haven’s town council to see if they can share any additional information, but considering he wasn’t a resident, I wouldn’t count on them being able to apprehend him. He knows you have friends and family who would notice that you went missing. He likely ordered you out of town with the hope youwould fully transform into a ghoul and thus be unable to give any information, even the little you had.”
Something about his tone makes me frown. Before I was changed, my siren blood was extra enticing to vampires, but I hope he’s not blaming me.
I’m the victim here, dammit.
I should have protected myself better, though. Then again, if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have met Seiran, Novak, or Reign.
