She was startled when I announced time was up and everyone needed to turn in their tests. Only a handful of students were left, and she was the last one to hand in it.

“Everything okay Miss Davis?” I asked.

She wrung her hands. “Yes.”

I looked her up and down, patiently waiting until I could escape to my office and rub one out. “Have a good day, Miss Davis.”

“Thank you.”

I watched her leave the classroom and gathered my stuff. I didn’t have any other classes today, but I knew she did. I needed to get her out of my system.

I steppedout of the classroom, hoping Trevor had moved to his next class. His simple flirtations had become something more this week, and I was glad I only had the one class with him. I was glad Professor Murphy stepped in because if Trevor had touched me again, I would have stabbed him with my pen. It didn’t help that I was already on edge.

While I didn't like being called out, I oddly felt safe in the front row under Professor Murphy’s watchful eye. Trevor had unnecessarily brushed up against me yesterday, but grabbing my leg? What the fuck was up with him? I was tired and cranky, so he’s damn lucky I didn’t stab him on principle.

“Hey, babe, let's go grab lunch.” Trevor wrapped his arm around my shoulders as I exited the room.

Shrugging him off, I stepped away. His touch made me sick to my stomach. “I can't today, Trevor. I've got class.” Class was in an hour, but I wasn’t up for this, not after last night. I hadn’t slept, waiting for my mystery man to call, but he never did. Had he gotten his fill? Would he call again? Shouldn’t I have been relieved for a night off? Maybe if he had let me come the night before, last night wouldn’t have been so bad.

I made it halfway down the hall when my phone buzzed, and my heart skipped a beat at the thought it would be him. He was the only one who’d ever called me. I hadn't looked back, hoping Trevor had taken the hint, but when I glanced down at the phone, it was from my tormentor reminding me to have a good lunch. I smiled. Maybe I would see him tonight. The thought sent tingles down my spine. Was I actually looking forward to it? To him?

Trevor boxed me in. Scanning the hall, I saw we were the only ones here. Why had I looked down? Why had I assumed he would leave me alone?

“What do you want Trevor?” I huffed.

He pushed me against the wall. “I want to take you to lunch.”

I dropped my phone in my coat pocket. “And I said I was busy.” Bringing my hands up, I tried to push him away, but he didn't budge.

He leaned in and ran his nose up my neck. “So, you just put out for the staff?”

He pulled back, and I met his gaze. I wanted to wipe that smirk off his face. It was either that or puke on him.

“How dare you?—”

He wrapped his hand around my wrist and gestured at my bracelet.

“I know what this is. You're one of the Lyndhurst slu?—”

Something jerked him backward before he could finish. I gasped as he slid across the floor. My gaze met Professor Murphy’s. He pointed at me.

“You okay?” he asked.

My hand moved to my chest, and I nodded, unable to budge.

Professor Murphy walked over and picked Trevor up by his collar. “What the bloody hell do you think you’re doing putting your hands on Miss Davis like that?”

Trevor smirked. “You’re one of them, aren’t you?”

Anger flashed across the professor’s face as he pushed Trevor against the wall. I couldn’t hear what the professor said, but I watched as Trevor’s eyes widened and his face went white.

I wanted to leave, to go hide somewhere. Was Trevor right? Was Professor Murphy one of the Lyndhurst Elite? Had he been one of the men to…? My breath became ragged and labored as everything closed in around me.

The swift approach of campus security abruptly disrupted my train of thought. One took Trevor and put him in cuffs, while the other one talked to Professor Murphy.
