Noah put on some sweatpants but left his chest bare, and slid into bed next to me. “I have a guilty pleasure. You have to promise not to judge me.”

“I definitely can’t promise that!”

He glared at me. “Grey’s Anatomy.”

I sputtered a laugh. “Seriously? Grey’s? It’s been on for like twenty seasons!”

“Twenty-one,” he clarified. “And if you’re going to make fun of me for it, I’m going to make you sleep outside in Ash’s tent.”

I let the sheet covering my breasts slip down a few inches and said in my most sultry voice, “You wouldn’t dare.”

“Fine. You called my bluff.”

“But I’m not making fun of you. I’m just surprised a doctor like you would enjoy this. Isn’t it, like, super inaccurate?”

“That’s what makes it fun!” he said, turning on the TV. “I get to laugh at all the mistakes.”

Ash came out of the bathroom a few minutes later. “Fuck yeah, this is right after George died.”

I blinked up at him. “Seriously?”

“What?” Ash asked. “He’s a whiny little fucker.”

“You misunderstood my surprise. You watch Grey’s?”

“You don’t know me,” he replied, crawling under the sheets nude. “It was always on the prison TV.”

We relaxed together in bed for a while. When we got hungry, Ash had two pizzas delivered, then went downstairs to get them—still nude. Noah complained about eating food in his bed, but Ash and I berated him until he relented.

It was like a little pizza slumber party. With two of my lovers. It still felt weird to think about having multiple lovers at the same time, but I was coming around to the idea.

My mom called later that night when we were on our fifth episode. I was comfortably situated between Noah and Ash, so I answered it without getting out of bed. “Hi, Mom!”

“Are you okay?” she demanded. “I haven’t gotten any updates for a few days. Your father told me not to nag you, but you’re making it difficult!”

“My ankle is still healing,” I told her. “I might need to stay here another week or two.”

“What about work? Did you ever clear up your PTO issue with your supervisor?”

“Yeah! I totally cleared it up,” I winced. I hated lying, especially to my parents. “It’s not an issue. I can do whatever I want and my boss won’t care.” That was more truth than lie.

“Aren’t you bored sitting around in a tiny mountain town?” she asked. “Do you need me to send you some books to read? I can overnight them.”

“I have a Kindle. I can download every book in the world.” I glanced at the men on either side of me. “But I’m not bored at all. I’m fine.”

Ash reached over and squeezed my thigh. “You’re fine all right.”

I put a finger to my lips and shushed him.

Mom rambled on a little longer, and I let her. There was a hurricane in the gulf threatening Florida, but they were inland enough that it wouldn’t affect them. Dad was worried, though, and wanted to buy a whole-home generator.

When I eventually hung up, Noah paused the TV. “You’re going to stay longer?”

“I’m thinking about it.”

He frowned like a doctor. “Is your ankle still bothering you? I thought the test hike went well. What kind of range of movement do you have?”

“It’s better every day,” I replied. “I’m almost ready to go. But honestly, I’m really enjoying myself here. It won’t hurt anything to delay my hike for a week or two. The trail isn’t going anywhere. As long as you guys don’t mind my company…”
