Ten minutes later, I pull up outside the Huntsmen, ignoring everyone around me, needing a drink.
People slap my back as I walk into the but, again, I ignore them and hold up two fingers. The prospect, Cam, giving me a nod, getting me a shot and a beer.
I down the shot as soon as he passes it to me before taking a seat, my head all over the place.
She’s been staying at that house for a year and a half, and even after we married, she never left her old shitty apartment like I believed, which meant she was in danger that whole fucking time, and now, she has someone with her.
But who?
Who in the fuck was my wife smiling at? Who’s fucking shirt was she wearing?
I run a hand through my hair. I shouldn’t have withheld her orgasms.
Fuck, fuck, fuck….
“Hey, baby,” Katie says as she slides up beside me. I grunt.
Fucking great.
“I thought you quit,” I snap before gulping my beer.
She giggles a little, making me roll my eyes as she whispers near my ear, “I came in for a drink, and I’m glad I did now because you’re here….”
I move away from her, but that doesn’t deter her as she follows me, and licks my neck. Without thinking, I shove her back with my right arm, and she scowls, but I ignore her.
If this were the other way around, I would have been fucking arrested for assault, for fuck’s sake.
“Seriously, Piston, this has got to stop. We both know you want me, and the only reason why you never fucked me hard against the wall like I saw you do with Angel when I first started here was because I was an employee. I’m not one now, so just take me!”
I snort and tilt my head as I point my beer bottle at her and state, “First of all, I never wanted to fuck you; you working here was just a good excuse to stop your continuous flirting and pushing, and secondly, I don’t want you now, either. I’m a married fucking man, I have an old lady, so turn your fake tits around and piss off before I ban you from all club properties.”
Her face reddens, and she sneers, “You don’t love your wife, and we both know you’ll give in soon enough!”
I chuckle darkly as she spins on her too-high heels and stomps away, her short shorts leaving nothing to the imagination.
Shaking my head, I take another swig of my beer, the image of my wife in someone else’s shirt taking over me, and anger hits again.
“What’s got your panties in a twist,” Bulldozer asks as he takes a seat next to me.
I give the brother a shrug, and he raises a brow.
The fucker is big, covered in tattoos, but he has a heart of gold.
I sigh, knowing he won’t go until I say something, so I lie, "It’s nothing.”
He hums, sipping his beer, and asks, “So it’s not about your pretty wife moving into a small two-bed house on Meadows Street?” I look at him in shock, and he grins, admitting, “It was my sister’s house. She’s renting it out, and asked me to get you to check on the person interested in it. I gave her the okay when I saw who it was.” I blink. He grins and admits, “Ava has called Nat a few times, and Nat’s been having a few issues with the property, you know, dripping taps, leaking roof, broken garbage disposal.” He raises his brow again and mumbles, “Maybe acertain husband can take over fixing them, because you know the landlord is so shitty.”
I tilt my head at him, his grin wide, and I shake my head. The fucker.
He chuckles, seeing my spirits lifted, showing just how much I’ve allowed this woman into my cold dead heart.
He knocks on the oak bar before standing, and says, “And maybe, just maybe, she’ll finally see her name on your chest.”
That said, he walks away, and I laugh to myself, regretting allowing him to tattoo it to begin with, knowing Anchor, my VP would never let me live it down, either.
Everyone in the club believes I should give our marriage a shot and, don’t get me wrong, I thought of it a few times despite her trapping me. A small part of myself, when she told me she was pregnant, was relieved because it meant she was mine, and that feeling scared the living shit outta me.
When I got her name tattooed, it was only six months after we started fucking, but I didn’t understand what I had done until she said she was pregnant.
