“I know I’m not the best boyfriend, period. I don’t always know the right thing to say, or the right thing to do. But I know when I’m with you... Iwantto be the best boyfriend.”

He licked his lips, his glassy eyes sparkling with truth as my heart swelled with pride, with joy.

“I want to beyourboyfriend,” he saidthe words, and they pierced my heart, lighting me up with the brightest, fullest feeling in the word.

Love.

“Yes,” I murmured, pulling him toward me, claiming his lips with my own. “Fuck, yes,” I whispered, and he kissed me. I could feel his lips turning up in the corner with a smile as his hand settled on my hip, his tongue sliding into my mouth.

I kissed him back deeply, with all the love I could. When we broke apart, we both breathed heavy sighs, his palms hot against my thigh.

“So... that’s a yes?” he asked sweetly, flashing his bright eyes up at me.

“Yes, Penn. I want to be your boyfriend too.” My heart soared.

CHAPTER 30

Penn

My heart beat so loudlyin my chest, I wondered if Mitchell could hear it.

I wiped some stray confetti from my shoulder as he opened the door to his apartment. We’d been here before, only days ago, but somehow it felt like a lifetime.

After my parents had shown up to take over for the remainder of the event, I was excited to just be a part of the event.

With my boyfriend.

Well, and his friends, ofcourse. We even ran into Amy and Molly again, and then Mitchell asked if I wanted to come over to his place and actually watch a movie and just hang out.

I settled against him, appreciating the warmth of his arm around me and I couldn’t stop smiling.

I stared at the half-empty box of pizza on the table as Ace Ventura did his best parrot impression. I didn’t get the movie, but watching Mitchell laugh his ass off, was enjoyment enough.

“What?” he asked, glancing down at me. “Do I have pizza on my face?”

My heart beat away in my chest as I turned my head and took in the sight of him.

“I just... a lot has happened since we were here last,” I said.

Mitchell leaned in, giving me a sweet, quick kiss, and I melted once more, kissing him back.

“One of these days, we’re going to make it through an entire movie,” he whispered, his grin making his eyes light up with mischief.

I slid my fingers against the hair at the nape of his neck, slipping my tongue into his mouth with a confidence Ihadn’t possessed the last time I’d been here.

I slid my hands down his frame, wiggling them underneath the hem of his shirt.

Mitchell laughed against my kiss.

“Today is not that day,” I whispered against his lips as I ran my hand over his abs, up over his solid chest.

Mitchell cursed, sighing deeply as he pulled his shirt off.

“There’s always tomorrow,” he said, shaking his head, running his hand through his hair.

I leaned forward, kissing him once more, letting my hands explore his bare chest, fingertips running over his nipples.

My cock throbbed in my pants, and I wondered how I’d ever lived without this.
