“What are you saying? I can only date women from some official club bachelorette list?”

“So, the two of you are dating now?”

“Goddamnit, Clutch. I don’t know what the fuck we’re doing and even if I did, I don’t have to justify jack shit to you. I apologize for the timing of her showing up. That’s on me and I’ll straighten it out with Minus, but just because I report to you, doesn’t mean you can tell me where to put my dick.” I walked away, shoving Clutch aside with my shoulder as I did.

“We’re not done talking about this!” Clutch called out as I increased the distance between us.

“Yes we fuckin’ are,” I replied, without looking back.

Minus was still in the Chapel when I entered. He was talking with Cowboy, Doozer, and Trouble.

“Hey, Pea. Everything okay?” Minus asked, a genuine look of concern on his face.

“Sorry, Minus, I didn’t mean to interrupt. I just wanted to apologize for getting pulled out of church like that. It won’t happen again,” I said, turning to leave.

“It’s okay, I’m glad you’re here now. Was Doozer right? Were you meeting with a lawyer?”

“Yeah.” I smiled, “But, she’s just that. A lawyer, not my lawyer, like Doozer said before.”

“Any reason she stopped by that I need to know about?”

“Well, actually,” I said turning to Cowboy. “I was sort of hoping you’d have a few minutes to talk with her about a charity event before y’all take off,” I said.

Minus smiled wide. “That’s funny. Cowboy wanted to talk to you about leaving a little something behind. Someone actually.”

“Who,” I asked.

“Me,” Trouble replied.

“Trouble feels like she’s ready to put down roots, and I couldn’t agree with her more,” Cowboy said, with a hint of pride in his voice. “Given our transient nature, our club has always had an open-door policy with its club members.”

“Seems your boy Doozer and Trouble here have grown somewhat attached and he wants to sponsor her,” Minus added.

“As a Saints prospect?” I asked, turning to Doozer. “This is what you wanted to talk to me about earlier.”

Doozer nodded.

“We need more soldiers. What do you think, Captain? Can you handle an addition to your crew?” Minus asked.

“She’s tough, road-tested, and she can fix damned near anything,” Cowboy said.

“Does she have anything to say about all of this?” I asked, looking directly at Trouble.

“If you’re worried about me being a woman, don’t,” she said. “I may have a pussy, but that doesn’t mean I am one.”

I laughed, “Good enough for me.” I then addressed her and Doozer together. “As far as you two hooking up, it’s not a problem until it’s a problem. If I find the two of you playing grab ass on the job, I’ll take both your kuttes. You understand?”

“Yes, sir,” Doozer said as he and Trouble nodded in unison.

I looked at Minus who nodded silently in approval.

“Good, then we’ll let Trouble get her shit out of the trailer, and the rest of us gypsies can get back on the road.”

Trouble and Doozer headed out excitedly and Cowboy shook Minus’ hand. “You take good care of that one, okay? Her daddy died when she was just a pup, and step daddy did a number on her. She’s tough as shit, and she’s got a good heart, but she can be a tad on the impulsive side.”

“How much is a tad exactly?”

“Less than you need, but more than you want,” Cowboy said with a wink and a smile before turning to me. “Now, where’s this lawyer you’d like me to meet?”
