I feel lost. Maybe a little broken.
Then Ian takes care of me like the way he is right now, and I forget about it all for a moment.
What does this mean for me? What‘s going to happen when we leave?
Why with each passing day, do I feel like if I lose these Alpha's it’s the end of my world?
This is why I hate Alphas. Why I didn’t want one.
Yet, now I can’t see my life without the one who’s holding me like I’m something precious. Even as he cleans his brother’s cum from between my legs and washes my hair.
Chapter 13
Nova
“Ahhh, why is half of your room out in the hallway?” Ian asks as I get ready to toss another armful of things into the hall.
“Because I’m organizing,” I snap. “Now move, you're in my way.”
“Yes, Ma’am.” Ian chuckles, backing away with his arms up. “Anything I can help you with?”
“Not if you don’t want me to bite your head off,” I snarl.
He looks at me all dreamy like. Crazy Alpha. “You're getting my cock hard with the way you’re talking to me, Little Doe. I know what you're doing.”
“Oh, yeah, and what's that?” I ask, crossing my arms.
He just smiles and tucks some of my crazy messy hair behind my ear, then leans in, whispering. “You’re nesting. Your heat is going to start any moment now. Could be in an hour, could be tonight. But you're nesting, that I know for sure.”
“What do you know?” I sass. “Have you had an Omega before?” This comes out as a growl, jealousy hitting me hard.
“No, Little Omega.” He chuckles. “You're the only Omega for me.” He winks. “But I’ve done my research. Smart thing to do if I was planning to have an Omega.”
“Was? What, are you not anymore?” I narrow my eyes.
“Yes, I am,” he sighs, putting his hands on my shoulders. “You, silly girl.” He kisses the tip of my nose. “You're my Omega, Nova. In any way you want to be. But I’m yours. And I also seem to be pissing you off and I don’t want that. So, I'm going to leave you to do your thing, okay? But if you need anything, just ask and it’s yours if it’s within my ability.”
I stand there, blinking as I watch him take off down the stairs.
My lower lip trembles as I head into the room.
“Damn him and his sweetness.” I sniff, wiping my eyes. But my mood quickly changes when I see how much of a mess this room is. “Ugh!”
An hour later, everything is back in its place. Its right place, thank you very much. Yet, it’s still not perfect. Something is missing.
Annoyed, I head downstairs, making sure to shut the bedroom door. I love Duchess, but the thought of her in there messing up the scents isn’t what I want.
When I get to the bottom of the stairs, I stand in the living room doorway and cross my arms.
The three Alphas are sitting on the couch and chair watching some stupid action Christmas movie.
Ian looks over. “Everything okay, Little Doe?”
“No,” I huff. “I’m hungry, and agitated. I just spent an hour working on my nest, but I can’t seem to get it right. I’m also horny, but the idea of someone touching me makes me want to rip off their hands. I just. Ugh, I don’t know.”
Nick snorts out a laugh and I shoot him my best death glare, wishing I could blow his stupid head off, with the daggers I’m throwing his way, with my eyes.
Ian jumps up and makes his way over to me. “How about I go make you something to eat. What would you like?” I glare at him. “Right, making choices is probably not what you wanna do right now.” He chuckles. “Grilled cheese and tomato soup it is.”
