I continued my unhurried movements, savoring every sensation. The way her inner muscles clenched around me, the soft sounds she made, the scent of her arousal - it all combined to create an intoxicating experience.
As our pleasure built, Samira became more vocal. Her hips rose to meet mine, trying to increase the pace. “Please,” she whimpered. “More, Arkon. I need more.”
I resisted the urge to give in immediately, drawing out the sweet torture. “Patience, my mate,” I said, nipping at her earlobe. “I want to make this last.”
Samira whimpered in frustration, her nails digging into my shoulders. “Arkon, please,” she begged. “I can’t take it anymore. I need you.”
Her pleas broke my resolve. I gradually increased my speed, driving into her with more force. Samira cried out in pleasure, her legs wrapping around my waist to pull me closer.
“Yes,” she moaned. “Just like that. Don’t stop.”
I let myself get lost in the sensations, my hips snapping forward with increasing urgency. Samira met me thrust for thrust, her body writhing beneath mine. I could feel her trembling, teetering on the edge of orgasm.
“Let go,” I growled. “Come for me, Samira.”
Her back arched as she cried out, her climax washing over her in waves. The feel of her inner walls pulsing around me pushed me towards my own release. As the pressure built, I knew it was time.
I buried myself deep inside her and sank my teeth into the crook of her neck, giving her the claiming bite. The taste of her blood, the scent of her skin, her delicate trembling - it all crashed over me at once. With a roar, I came, spilling myself inside her.
Samira screamed in ecstasy, her orgasm intensifying from the bite. Her body shook violently, overwhelmed by the dual sensations. I held her close, riding out the aftershocks together.
As we both came down from our high, I gently licked the bite mark, my saliva helping to heal the wound. Samira’s breathing slowly evened out, her body going limp in my arms as the claiming bite took effect.
I held her close, marveling at the changes already beginning to manifest. Faint patterns, echoes of my own markings, shimmered beneath her skin.
Gently I laid her back in the bed, pulling the covers over her, then settled into a chair. My eyes never left Samira’s face as I waited for her to awaken, ready to be there the moment she opened her eyes.
My Samira. My mate.
SAMIRA
Iknelt in the sand, my fingers tracing the delicate veins of a desert flower. The oasis around us buzzed with life, a point of luxury against the barren landscape we’d crossed to reach it. My new abilities, a gift from Arkon’s claiming bite, heightened my senses. I could almost feel the plant’s struggle for survival, its tenacious grip on life in this harsh environment.
“Fascinating,” I murmured, leaning closer to examine the flower’s intricate structure. “The adaptations these plants have developed are incredible. Look at how the leaves curl to minimize water loss.”
Arkon stood nearby, his form overshadowing me. I glanced up, catching the amused quirk of his lips. He might not share my excitement for botany, but his presence filled me with warmth.
“You’ve been at this for hours,” he said, his tone light. “Shall we take a break?”
I shook my head, my attention already returning to the flower. “Just a few more minutes. I want to collect a sample of this one.”
As I carefully extracted a small cutting, Arkon shifted his weight. “Samira,” he began, his voice uncharacteristicallyhesitant. “Have you ever considered... moving to a different planet?”
I paused, looking up at him with surprise. “What do you mean?”
He waved a hand vaguely at our surroundings. “Somewhere with more... growing stuff. More for you to study.”
I set aside my sample and patted the ground next to me. “Come here,” I said softly. When he sat, I took his large, gray hand in mine. “What’s this about, Arkon?”
He sighed, his red eyes meeting mine. “I’ve been thinking about the future. About us. After the war, I just followed Davor into bounty hunting. It was familiar, something I could do without much thought. But now...” He trailed off, his gaze drifting to our joined hands.
“Now?” I prompted gently.
“Now I have you,” he said simply. “And I wonder if I should be doing more. Thinking more about what comes next.”
My heart swelled with emotion. I leaned in, pressing my lips to his in a tender kiss. “Arkon, you don’t need to change anything about your life for my sake. I love you, exactly as you are. Whether you’re hunting bounties or...” I grinned. “Or taking up gardening.”
A low chuckle rumbled in his chest. “Maybe I should think about it,” he said, raising my fingers to his lips.
