“Fuck. You. Voxy.” The last word has barely left my mouth before he yanks the wheel to the side. Gravel spits up from the side of the road when he slams on the brakes. I don’t have any fucking time to prepare or defend myself before one of his hands is around my throat and the other is tangled in my hair. He uses his hold on me to yank me up. A whimper escapes me when I feel some of my hair rip out of my scalp. I try to bat his hands away but all it does is force him to tighten his grip on me so I can’t take a full breath. “Get the fuck off me!” I grit out.

“You need to learn who the fuck is in charge here because it isn’t you, witch. You survive for as long as I deem fit. You say anything to my sister and I will make you wish that you never survived coming out of your mommy's washed-up snatch.” At the mention of my mom, I see red. I strike out and slap him across his face, keeping my shock from splaying across my face and school my features.

“Don’t you ever speak about my mom!” I feel angry tears prick the backs of my eyes and force them to remain at bay. I will never give this bastard the satisfaction of seeing me cry.

Chapter Four

Vox

My cheek stings. I flick my gaze between the guys to see the three of them are just as shocked as I am that the bitch dared to touch me. I slowly turn back to face her and find nothing but defiance and hatred in her green eyes as she glowers at me. I yank her head back, she cries out as I push forward over the console and get right in her face. Her breaths are labored. Try as she might to hide her fear, I can see it in the depths of her gaze that she is terrified and I fucking love it.

“You ever touch me again, I will destroy you,” I grit out through clenched teeth.

“Keep your fucking hands off me and never, ever mention my mom,” she fires back.

“Shit, Vox, we need to move, Nexus is behind us.” I look out the back window and mutter a curse at the sight of his emerald-green Audi drawing closer. I release her with a shove and smirk when her head bounces off the window. I slam my car into drive and plant my foot on the gas.

Me and the guys spent the weekend digging through the archives to figure out what the fuck is going on, we may be bonded but that doesn’t mean shit in the grand scheme of things. Nexus isn’t one of us and I will find a way out of this. I won’t have mine or my sister’s name tied to his or his fucking crook of a father. When we came up with nothing, we formed a new plan. A plan I know Nexus is going to hate. Before we became who we are now, we were once someone else and it’s been far too long since we let our demons out to play. And, we plan to play with his new stepsister.

She is our way out. I have no idea how much she knows, but she is the only leverage we have and I plan to use the bitch and ruin any plan Nexus has for her. To the outside world, the five of us are tight, like brothers, but behind closed doors, Nexus is the odd man out. We don’t condone any of his actions. He has always looked down on us since we were kids. This is the life our fathers chose and their fathers before them but unlike them, I lost my dad and I refuse to live my life like he did. I won’t allow my sister to claim my place or our father’s heir, I want her out of this life and I will do whatever I have to keep that promise.

I won’t leave my mom or Vivian.

Archer, Ez and Hayze are the only ones I trust aside from my sister. They know why I want out and why I will never fulfill my oath to The Brotherhood. I gave my boys a choice to fall in line and follow the rules, or help me find our way to get our freedom from the life we have been forced into.

I pull into my usual spot and kill the engine. She reaches for the handle but I click the locks, keeping her where she is. She whirls around and sneers at me.

“Let me out of the fucking car, you asshole,” she spits.

“You breathe a fucking word about?—”

She cuts me off before I can finish. “I won’t say shit, now let me the fuck out!” she yells. The second I click the locks, she shoves her door open and leaps out of the car, then slams my fucking door! I glare at her retreating back, she is going to pay for that fucking stunt.

“We going old school?” Ez asks. I meet his gaze in the rearview mirror and nod.

“I want her out of her mind and looking over her shoulder at every turn. We force her to ask the favor,” I answer.

“How are we going to do that?” Archer asks with a hint of annoyance in his tone.

“When shit gets too much, my sister will tell her how to end her torment. The second she asks the favor of theFilthy Fewshe is in our debt. She will never know that she signed the contract with her tormentors. We will break her to get to him and she will be our ticket out of here.”

“Let the games begin, brother,” Hayze says with excitement in his tone.

As the lunch bell rings, Hayze, Ezekiel, Nexus, Archer and I all walk into the cafeteria—here we are united and a unit. No one can see the cracks in our foundation, we are master bullshitters. It’s a trait I loathe but one I own without remorse. We all may wear the same uniform but none of us are the same. A hush falls over the room at the sight of us. My eyes immediately scan the room, hunting for the raven-haired bitch. My eyes twitch when I see her sitting with my sister, laughing at something Vi has said.

The second her laughter dies off, a frown builds on her face as she looks around the room, noticing for the first time the shift in the atmosphere. When she spots the five of us, her eyes burn with hatred. I smirk at the sight of the tiny orbs of fire in those big eyes. The five of us move toward the lunch line, everyone jumps to get the fuck out of our way. We get through unobscured by the others, then trays in hand, we head toward our normal table.

The moment the five of us drop our trays onto the table, Nova’s gaze snaps up to meet mine. “What the fuck do you think you are doing?” she grits out through clenched teeth. I ignore her and claim my seat opposite the little shit.

“Don’t make a scene, little piggy,” Nexus warns before we are joined by the football team and cheerleaders. I can see Nicole and the other cheer bitches glaring at Nova who stares right back at them without backing down. I keep the intrigue from splaying across my face. I know it won’t take long before Nicole and Megan snap, they can’t stand not being on top. These girls are only good for a quick nut, they have let the five of us take turns on them and somehow think it makes them important or better than anyone else in this school. We know they want to wear the title ofgirlfriendbut neither of them ever will—I’ve never had a girlfriend and have no plans to change that.

“Who is the gutter trash with you, Vivian?” Nicole asks in her annoying high pitched voice. Unlike my boys, I don’t find the redhead attractive, every time I have slipped my dick in her snatch I’ve made her hold a pillow over her face as the sight of her plastic face makes me sick. My sister scowls up at the bitch. I may protect my twin from every male in this place but the females are up to her to control. If I step in, it makes her look weak and we can’t have that.

Vi opens her mouth to answer but Nova beats her to it. She plasters the most fakest smile I have ever seen across her faceand bats her lashes like a fucking idiot playing the part of a ditsy bimbo.

“Well, as of last night, I got promoted from trash to stepmom.” Hayze and Archer both stare at Nova in surprise.

“Eww, so you're a whore,” Pamela chirps in defense of her cheer captain.
