“Oh my God! I hope you’re right.”

“Listen Annie, you’re running out of options. Short of a restraining order I think this is the best one.”

“So, he is just going to say something friend-to-friend like?”

“Yes, just a friendly warning, letting him know that he is aware of what’s been going on…trust me he will do it skillfully.”

“I wish you would have asked me first, but I think it could work,” Annie said coming around to the idea.

“Me too.”

“I’ll be staying over at Gabe’s for the next night or two.”

“Sounds like you’ve taken it to the next level.”

“I’m crazy about him. Honestly sis, I think I am falling in love,” Annie said.

“I have no advice; the heart wants what the heart wants. I know all about that.”

“It’s so much more than his killer body, he’s funny, and he can go deep, ya know? He is all about intimacy, listening, sharing from the heart, I’ve never had anything like this with a man before.”

“I’m so happy for you.”

“It’s all moving so fast, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t afraid, but fortunately I’ve had the best role model for walking toward fear and kicking it’s gnarly ass, and I’m looking at her.” Annie said getting up to give her big sister a hug.

Darcy, still seated, hugged her little sister back and said, “As the saying goes…love ain’t for sissies.”

“Not to change the subject, but how does next weekend sound for a gathering to show our pictures from the trip?” Darcy asked.

“Lovely. Anything I can do to help?”

“Nope, just show up and bring your man.”

“As long as he doesn’t have a gig, I’m sure he’ll be down for it.”

“We can do either night, so check with him and I’ll wait to hear if one night works better than another. I have to see you two in action.”

“Great, under the microscope, fun times,” Annie said.

“I’ll be circumspect.”

Laughing Annie replied, “Yeah right. Unfortunately, I’ve got to go, but thanks for talking with the captain, I think.”

“You’re welcome. See you later. Have fun tonight.”

“I intend to.”

After eating their spring rolls and Lo Mein, Gabe got up and rinsed off their plates. “I have something I want to show you. Are you up for a drive?” Gabe asked.

“Yes, what is it?”

“Not telling,” he replied.

“Hmm so mysterious, it’s got me guessing.”

“You won’t have to wait long, its right around the corner,” Gabe said.
