Two weeks later

Kade, Alek, and I are fixing up our bikes outside Erebus in the little garage.

We’re getting ready for Devil’s Night tomorrow.

We’re not going a hundred percent crazy like we used to but we’re doing something. It’s the time that Alek will ride with us as demon.

Last year we didn’t do that much because we were so focused on getting past the elite trials.

That feels like a lifetime ago now.

“So when’s the wedding?” Kade asks tossing me the screwdriver. Her gives me a wild smirk.

Alek leans against the counter, twisting his baseball cap backwards and looking just as eager as Kade for the answer.

I’ve been thinking about the wedding. Most people in Mackenzie and my situation are getting married after graduation but I think I’ve hoped in the same boat as Kade.

Mackenzie and I have known each other all our lives so it makes sense.

“Next summer, after yours.” I look at Kade and he nods with approval.

“Well done linebacker. You’re next,” Kade throws a towel at Alek.

“No, no, I’m quite happy being the bachelor for a very long time.” He holds up his hands. “Now that you guys are taken, there are more fishes in the sea for me.”

“Asshole,” Kade smirks.

Logan marches up the path to us with a smug smile on his face. Only yesterday he was down in the dumps about his father making arrangements for his marriage. It was finally decided.

The look on his face says he’s up to something.

“What’s up with you?” Kade asks.

“Everything good. I came up with the idea of all ideas to throw my father off his little games.

“What did you do, Logan?” I ask, very interested to know.

He glances his shoulder and we follow his gaze.

Savannah is carrying walking down the path away from Erebus, hugging her books to her chest. Feeling our gaze she glances back at us with a face like thunder.

“What the hell did you do Logan?” I ask again with more emphasis.

“The sea witch owed me a favor and I found a way for her to pay me back.”

“How?”

“She’s going to be my fiancé.”

Kade and I look at each other. Alek just shakes his head.

I breathe out a sigh knowing this is going to be one crazy adventure.

Poor Savannah.

I hope she survives Logan.

And that he survives her.
