“You want this?” I asked, my voice low and dangerous. “You want my cock inside you? Fucking you hard.”

She licked her lips, her eyes wide with anticipation as I unbuttoned my jeans, letting my freeing my cock. Her legs tightened around my waist as I pushed inside her. She cried out, her nails digging into my shoulders as I filled her completely.

I fucked her hard, my hips slamming into hers as I took her against the wall. She met every thrust with a moan, her body shaking with pleasure. I could feel my orgasm building, my cock swelling inside her. She was trembling beneath me, her body on the brink of release. I pulled back, my eyes meeting hers as I thrust inside her pussy. I wanted to remember this moment, her face, to replay it in my mind every goddamned night.

She cried out again, louder this time, her nails digging even deeper into my back as I thrust inside her, over and over. She was tight, so tight, and it took every ounce of self-control not to lose myself in her and finish before I wanted to. My hips thrust against hers as I took her with an almost savage intensity. She met me stroke for stroke, her body writhing beneath me as she continued chasing her orgasm, her low moans a sweet sound in my ears.

I could feel the tension building, the pressure mounting in my own body, as I raced towards my release. “Come for me,”I demanded, my voice harsh. “I want to feel you come on my cock.”

She screamed, her body convulsing as she came hard around me. I followed soon after, my release exploding through me like a tidal wave. We collapsed into each other, our bodies spent and satisfied.

“That was... amazing,” Madeline whispered, her voice still shaking with aftershocks.

I grinned, my fingers tracing lazy circles on her stomach. “We’re not done yet,” I said, my voice full of promise as I lifted her, throwing her on the bed. “I’m just getting started.”

At this moment, I understood what Midnight had been trying to make me understand. Sex was different with the one meant for you, heightened and indescribable.

And one time was never enough.

HOURS LATER, MADELINEand I lay wrapped around eachother, our bodies exhausted from the intensity of our time together. The room was dark and quiet, save for the rhythmic sound of our breathing. Just as my eyes closed, a faint tapping shattered the silence, sending a jolt of fear through my chest.

My heart pounded, dread seizing me. Slowly, I turned my head, scanning the room, and there, in the far corner, she stood.

Kezia.

“Jarrod? How could you?” Her voice was a ghostly whisper, drifting through the air like a chilly breeze. “You’re still cheating on me.”

I shot upright, my breath catching in my throat. She couldn’t be back. Not now. Not after all this time. “No, I...” I stammered, my voice barely audible, as I stared at the phantom before me.

“I was dying in agony while you partied and messed around. Maybe I should make her suffermyfate,” Kezia’s voice twisted into a sinister hiss, the shadow seeming to glow with malice. “It’s only fair.”

“What’s wrong, Jarrod?” Madeline stirred beside me; her voice was thick with sleep as she sensed my panic.

I tore my gaze back to the corner, but Kezia had vanished. My heart raced, and my hands trembled as I scrambled out of bed, yanking on my clothes with frantic urgency. “You need to leave,” I snapped, my voice sharp and cold, not looking at her, knowing how this was going to hurt her.

“What? Why?” Madeline asked, her eyes wide with confusion as she crawled out of bed and fumbled for her clothes.

“I’m done here, that’s why,” I barked, forcing my feet into my boots, each movement driven by sheer terror and storming out of the room, slamming the door.

I couldn’t let Kezia hurt her. Madeline meant too much to me. I had seen it before. When I was twenty, Chloe, one of the sweet butts I brought to my room regularly, had vanished after Kezia’s warning. No one ever found out what happened to her, and I wasn’t about to let Madeline become another mystery.

I pushed through the crowded clubhouse, the noise and laughter around me a jarring difference to the fear that gripped my heart. Outside, I straddled my bike, the engine roaring to lifeas I sped away. The night air stung my face, mingling with the hot tears of frustration and fear that surprised me, yet I couldn’t control it.

“Damn you, Kezia! When will you let me be happy?” I screamed into the wind, my voice lost in the darkness, carried away by the relentless speed of my bike.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Chapter Sixteen

“WHAT WAS HAPPENING?” I murmured, my voicebarely a whisper, still in shock as I dressed. My hands trembled uncontrollably, fumbling with the fabric. Just minutes ago, I was wrapped tight in Jarrod’s arms, feeling so happy and complete. Then, without warning, he jumped out of bed, his face pale and stricken with fear, and ordered me to leave. He wouldn’t even look at me as he stormed out, leaving me alone and shattered.

I knew I was being dumped, but I couldn’t let it sink in.

Not yet.

This was going to cut so deep that I had to hold it together long enough to get out of here. I left his room in a daze, feelingthe cold emptiness of the hallway swallow me as I wondered how I was going to get home.

Margie and Casimir were probably still at the reception, but they’d ask too many questions, and I’d break down. I couldn’t face that. At the end of the hall, I glanced into the bar area and saw Sean talking to Adam. I’d gotten to know Sean over the past few weeks; he was a nice guy. I headed his way, trying to keep my face a blank mask.
