“It was actually really interesting.”

Talia babbles on about which camera she likes the most as well as the couple she thinks are in her budget and can get her through the next year or two.

When Miles approaches, she grins but continues speaking for another minute.

“Now that I’ve been thoroughly bored to death, can we order an Uber?” Miles laughs, pulling out his phone.

“Only if you don’t want to hear about tripods,” I tease.

“Do you want to?” asks Talia.

“No!” Miles and I practically shout in unison.

“Party poopers.” She crosses her arms over her chest, though she doesn’t seem too upset.

The steakhouse isn’t an overly nice restaurant, but it’s far enough from the airport and convention crowd that, even on a Saturday, there isn’t a long wait. Soon we’re scooting into a booth–Miles and I on one side, Talia on the other.

“So,” Talia opens her menu and pretends to look through it while talking, “dating, huh?”

Miles and I share a look before he responds.

“Yep.”

“Kinda hard in this industry. How do you guys do it?”

“To be fair, like we said, it’s pretty new,” I reply.

“God, I fucking hate being single,” Talia moans. “But dating is just so hard as a bisexual woman. Men suck, no offense Lance, and women are so intimidating.”

“Good to know I’m not alone,” I laugh. “Any time I film with a woman, I’m worried I’m gonna fuck something up and accidentally bite her clit.” That sends Talia into hysterics and even Miles laughs quietly next to me.

“I can’t say I’m worried aboutthat. Some people like it,” Talia giggles. “Same boat, though.” She continues laughing, more to herself now, “The last girl I dated was a normieat the beginning. Didn’t even have any nudes on her phone. A month in, I had somehow managed to turn her into an internet whore like me.”

“Think Brody would join us on camera?” I nudge Miles’ arm as the server approaches.

“I don’t think you could pay him enough.”

We order a bottle of wine to share and the server disappears.

“Oh, before I forget!” Talia shouts, making me jump. “I’m putting together a Christmas-themed, all-girl thing in December back in LA. Vetting everyone beforehand, but would you be interested?”

“Um, sure. I’ve mostly done one-on-one scenes, just a few threesomes.”

“That’s ok. If you just want to be there to experience the vibes, that’s fine too. Join when you want. We haven’t plotted out the scene or anything,” Talia goes on. “But I’m trying to get a variety of women.”

“Then, yeah, I guess it couldn’t hurt to at least attend.”

“Awesome!” Talia claps quickly, a wide grin on her face. “When we connect for details, remind me to ask whether you’re a top or bottom. No use telling me now,” she adds when I open my mouth. “I won’t remember by tomorrow, let alone December.” Talia jumps, startling both of us. “We need a picture of us!”

She calls over a passing server and asks him to take our photo with her phone. We lean in and smile, holding up our wine glasses, while he snaps a few and then hands Talia’s phone back to her.

“This is a good one!” She holds the phone up for us to see. I hadn’t realized Miles’ hand was on my shoulder while we leaned in. “I’ll send it to you both, but I’m gonna tease my fans that I’ve got a hot date.” She winks.

We chat about various projects we have planned. After several minutes, I ask Talia a question that’s been in the back of my mind all day.

“Do you have a plan for after all this?” I wave my hand around as if to indicate the industry.

“After porn?” she asks. “I guess I hadn’t really thought about it. I really like what I do.”
