Pressing kisses to his chest, I release a sigh of relief. “She’s a good friend. When I heard she was here, I thought I was just a passing fancy. A curiosity.”
“Once again, you wouldn’t let me explain the situation.”
I scrunch my nose, realizing that my tendency to run off instead of letting him talk has led to a fair share of miscommunications. “Never again. Promise.”
“I’ll hold you to that. Now, I’ll admit that men are stupid and I’m part of that club. But, hurting you is not something I ever plan to do. Know that.” He runs a hand through his hair, an amused grin splitting his face. “Part of me worried you’d leave again, so I paid the front desk a couple hundred dollars to notify me if you tried to check out. I know how it looked, but everything about last night was meant for you, Lexi. Just you. I ordered the food and flowers before I arrived, because I wanted everything perfect. I had one goal this weekend: to make you mine, or die trying.”
“I like the sound of that,” I murmur, grinding against Sam’s glorious cock. I release a low chuckle when his breath hitches. It’s a bit of thrill that little old Lexi McMillan can unhinge a man like Samuel Bernard.
I doubt that thrill will ever get old.
Sam rolls over on top of me, nuzzling my neck and delivering playful bites to my earlobe. All the places that make me squirm. “You know you belong to me now, right?”
Wrapping my legs around his waist, I trap him in my embrace. “Since day one, Sam. But, I know this is unfamiliar territory for you. We’ll take it slow. Ease into dating. Baby steps.”
Cupping my head, he steals a kiss as he slides inside me. I arch against him, squeezing his length and earning grunts of approval. “I have a different idea. Screw the baby steps, and just go for it.”
A smile breaks across my face as he moves inside me. “Much better idea.”
“I don’t want to wait with you, E.T.”
“Me, neither.”
“I don’t want to move slow.”
Tightening my grip around his waist, I scratch my nails down his chest. “Agreed. Except now. Now, I want to move excruciatingly slow.”
Sam buries himself to the hilt, as a low moan escapes my lips. “Are you trying to drive me out of my mind?”
“Is that such a bad thing?”
Sam’s hips undulate against me, a nonverbal answer to my question. Every thrust brings another wave of deliciousness crashing over me, the pace heightening my sensitivity. “With you, it’s the best thing in the world. Just know that I’m all in, Lex Lex.”
Pulling him down for another kiss, I smile against his mouth. “Stay that way.”
“Always.”
Chapter Twenty-One
Sam
Asigh of relief ebbs from my lips as the plane touches the tarmac.
Home again. Finally.
Even though my modeling gigs are now limited to four per year—at my behest—it’s still too many. Too many days away from home.
It took thirty-three years to discover the true meaning of home, to know that it wasn’t a place. It was a person.
My number one priority, always and forever, is my E.T. I swear, I love that woman more every damn day. And the sex… any thought of my lady has my dick at attention and ready for action.
But it’s so much more than that with Lexi. She truly is my everything. My heart and soul wrapped up in one tiny package. A tiny package that is still a two-hour drive from me.
I can’t get to her fast enough, and I plan on spanking her sexy ass for passing on the opportunity to explore Greece with me. Once again, her looming deadline took precedence. On the upside, I am the cover model for her upcoming release. Actually, weare, even though she insisted they hide her face from the final shot.
It was a fun as hell experience with my photographer buddy, Mike, who knows firsthand the chemistry between Lexi and me. That, and I got to play wrestle with her naked—a definite perk.
Let’s just say that some of the more risqué shots now decorate my office at the farm. There was no way in hell they were going to the cutting room floor.
