Lilly blinked, her eyes widening. “Excuse me?”

“It’s too difficult to explain, it’s easier if I show you.”

“I have no idea how to screen kiss someone,” Lilly stammered.

A fire smoldered in Jacob’s eyes. “I do.”

“I don’t think this is a good idea—”

“I do. Consider it educational, if you will. Besides, we’ve kissed before, and it wasn’t a screen kiss.”

Lilly scrambled for a witty retort, but her mind blanked at the idea of Jacob’s lips on hers again. Calm down Lilly, it’s a fake kiss. Actors do it all the time. Tonight, you’ll be an actor. “You’re not going to let this go, are you?”

Jacob shook his head, his eyes riveted on her face. “Not a chance.”

Lilly licked her lips, a nervous habit, aware of Jacob’s focus on her mouth. “Fine, what do I do?”

“Have a seat.”

She giggled as he slid closer. “Even I can handle that.” Within seconds his face was inches from hers, and Lilly bit her lip, trying to slow her racing heart.

Jacob cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs stroking her cheeks. “Relax.”

Lilly took a deep breath. “No problem.”

“Close your eyes.”

Lilly’s eyes closed and she felt his lips brush against hers; a tingle moving through her body from his touch. Their previous kiss had been fierce and angry. This time his lips were soft and yielding against hers. His tongue tickled her lips, and without thinking, she opened her mouth, melding her tongue against his.

Jacob groaned and pulled her closer as he deepened their kiss, his hand tangling in her hair. Lilly felt his breath hitch when she wrapped her arms around his neck, twining her fingers in his curls. Within moments, she was straddling his lap, his hands caressing her back and hips.

Reality crept into Lilly’s brain, and she jerked to a standing position, mortified by her impetuous actions. “I’m sorry!”

Jacob sat back, his chest heaving. “Why in hell are you apologizing?”

“You wanted to demonstrate a screen kiss, but it felt so real I responded. Damn, did I respond.”

Jacob grabbed her hands, pulling her on top of him again. Chuckling, he traced her lips with his finger. “That was real. That was not a screen kiss.”

Lilly smacked his chest, grinning. “You’re a horrible teacher! I know no more about screen kissing than I did before!”

“Horrible, huh?” Jacob’s lips nuzzled her neck as his fingers traced the length of her spine, while Lilly struggled to form a clear thought.

“Hardly, but I pity the women who aren’t getting that variety of screen kiss, they’d line up around the block.”

Jacob kissed the corner of her mouth. “They’ll have to stay lined up around the block because there’s only one woman I want to kiss. One whose lips I’ve been craving since the other night.”

The last vestige of Lilly’s common sense departed at that moment. She grabbed the back of his head, sliding her tongue into his mouth with a fervent ardor as her hips pressed against him.

Jacob eased her back on the sofa, careful not to break the kiss. A small moan escaped Lilly’s lips as her hands slid under his shirt, caressing his muscled back.

Jacob suckled her neck, one hand cupping her breast, the other tracing up her thigh. Lilly’s common sense pitched a last-ditch appeal. At this rate, they would be naked within ten minutes, and she would be another name in his black book within twenty. With tremendous effort, she pushed against his chest, licking her swollen lips.

Jacob's lids were heavy with lust as he met her gaze. “We don’t have to go any further.”

Lilly smiled, grateful for his mental telepathy. “I don’t…I don’t do this.”

Jacob shushed her with a soft kiss. “I’m happy just kissing you for the rest of the night. Everything else can wait until you’re ready.”

“Is this where I’m supposed to say how wonderful it is that you understand and now, we can sleep together?”

Jacob chuckled, sitting up with a grunt. “Absolutely not. Some women, Lilly, are worth the wait.”
