I just want to eat her up.
“Thank you,” Taylor says, starting to clean herself up.
“Sorry for the mess.”
“It’s okay,” Taylor lets out a breathless laugh.
We dress in silence, but my eyes stay stuck to Taylor, not wanting to let her out of my sight. Now that I have her, there is no way I am letting her go.

The blonde showed up at her house, so he had to leave. He could not be caught off guard and unprepared for a fight.
He returns home, where his ally is waiting.
“How did it go? Where is she?” Genevive asks.
He grows angry at her question. It obviously didn’t go well, as he returned empty-handed.
He roars as he hits the wall with his bare hand, and it comes back unharmed.
“Theodore showed up,” he explains to his ally.
Genevive gasps. “Have they mated?”
“I don’t know, but I must return and stop them. At any cost.”
He cracks his neck before running out of their hiding spot and turning into his dragon. He has turned so many times now that he barely feels any pain from it. It's natural to be in his dragon form.
He flies back the way he had driven until he reaches the house of Taylor Montgomery. He breathes heavily and inhales the scent of sex and sees red.
They must have mated.
He flies over the backyard, but the pair is fully clothed. He uses his sight to see their clothes are crinkled, and his greatest fear must have come true.
They mated.
Chapter 17 - TJ
“That was amazing,” I say to Taylor, now fully clothed, as we make our way to her deck.
“It was, but we should talk.”
Those are the words any man hates to hear.
I do know we need to talk, but I just want to revel in the moment a little longer. Craving her sass, I start to talk back.
“Talk about wh—”
Thick talons dig into my shoulders, and I am thrown backwards with the force of a bull.
I hit the ground with a thud as the wind is knocked out of me. I can hardly breathe, and stars form behind my eyelids before I see a dark force flying up above me.
A loud, girlish scream sounds, and I know that it is Taylor.
I scramble to my feet and realize that Carnelian’s dragon is flying above us.
His silver-gray eyes are almost black, and I can feel the hatred and anger coming off of him in waves.
