“And you say I’m merciless, yet you think of the most agonizing shit,” I grumble.

“You said he tried to humiliate yourwife, right?” He reminds and grins. “Finish what he started.”

“Finish him,” Keir mocks. “You should buy that game for your girl and play it on a date or vacation. I think she’d love it.”

“Hmm.” He may be right.I need to talk to Ares and Zander.“Alright. I’ll keep it in mind.”

“Good,” Keir smirks. “Get going. We should be able to get this cleaned.”

“Already on it,” I assure them. “The cleaning crew is waiting in the other classroom. When we leave, they’ll take care of it.”

Theo whistles. “That Hannah girl is swift. Why didn’t you marry her?”

“She needs someone more sinister than me,” I admit with a shrug. “I’m too merciful, apparently.”

“Meaning you asked?” Keir looks at me with a weird look. “She ain’t your type.”

“No. One of our victims asked her, and that was the reply before she sliced their tongue out to shut them up.”

Keir gawks in horror while Theo smirks.

“Yeah. Hannah needs a stalking serial killer as her King, or it’ll never happen.”

“Hannah, as a Maiden, would fuck people up,” Keir notes and shakes his head. “God, that made me shiver. Fuck that. Ain’t even thinking about it.”

I shake my head, smirking at their theatrics.

“Glad to have allies,” I quietly confess. “Been a long road, hasn’t it?”

“Only gets longer,” Keir notes but is smiling. “They can force us to be enemies when the time comes, but you know we’re getting out of this school as survivors.”

“I bet on it,” Theo assures us. “And I don’t lose my bets.”

He’s right about that.

Makes my smile grow further.

“Let’s get back to our King lives,” I encourage and peer back out the window, noticing a familiar person meeting my gaze.

Their smirk makes me trail their movement with my eyes. How their navy-blue strands flicker from the gust of wind or the intense glimmer in their golden orange eyes as the sunset glow further complements them.

They turn and begin to walk away, their hand raised and waving, signifying their goodbye for my eyes only.

That Stalking menace is going to outdo me and Benedict at this rate.

The more frightening fact is, I already know in my gut that he has.

Competition is always a pain in the ass.

Yet, the thrill of it all keeps my heart beating.

That, and the woman I vow to marry.

My Sweet Precious Gem.
