I couldn’t help but snicker at him because he and my dad are so petty and act like goddamn children not getting their way.
I brought my gun with me and slipped it in my waistband.
I have more guns and shit in my car, just in case.
Reign rode with me in my car even though Jamie told her to go with him. Reign said she was going to go with me since she wants to make sure I actually make it there. Jamie was trying to race me to the paintball place, but his SVJ could barely even keep up with my Chiron.
During the car ride Reign kept talking about everything and anything there was to talk about. When we passed by a park, she started storytelling about the memories, and she also talked about Malcolm and how he can be a bit much.
But don’t worry, she said that he will like me soon.
I almost laughed at that which she noticed.
Reign is his sun, he would never let anyone, or anything touch her unless he says so.
Good thing I’m not good with following directions.
When we get to the place, we go inside to meet with the rest of the group. Reign introduces me to everyone, but I forget their names after five seconds.
“Have you ever been paintballing Killian?” Jamie asks as he puts on his gear.
“No.”
“It’s like shooting a gun. You should have no problem with that, right?” Jamie says a playful smirk on his lips.
“Are you insinuating something?” I raise an eyebrow at him.
Jamie puts his hands up. “Just trying to make friendly conversation, man.”
If he keeps trying to talk to me, Reign will no longer have a best friend to talk to. He’s been getting on my nerves since Reign told her Star about him.
“Well, we should get into groups,” Reign suggests, thank God. “Jamie will be leader and then so will Andrei.”
Jamie ends up picking first and of fucking course he chooses Reign. She smiles and walks towards him.
“I’ll take the new guy,” Andrei says, pointing to me.
I don’t walk next to him; I stay leaning against the wall until all of them pick all their team members.
We go into the paintball room where it’s pitch black. Everyone gets into their hiding positions, and I decide to go into the back of the room where you can barely see anything.
The timer ends and some members from each group go out of their hiding spot and start shooting.
I notice one of the girls, who was trying to flirt with me, come out of hiding.
I aim my gun for her leg, and she yelps and trips over her feet.
A small smile forms on my face as I see her on the floor in pain.
“I think shooting your teammates is against the rules.” I turn my head and see Reign aiming a gun at me.
“She was annoying.”
“Don’t disagree with that,” Reign says. “And you’re supposed to be having fun.”
“I like having fun by myself,” I say and lean my head against the wall, closing my eyes. I feel a jolt of pain on my calf making me hiss from the pain. I look at Reign and see she has a small guilty smile on her face. “Stop, I’m not playing these games with you.”
“You’re no fun.” She rolls her eyes playfully.
