Killian groans in my mouth and forces himself away from me. “God, you taste good.”
“What do I taste like?” I ask him with a teasing smile.
“You taste like you belong to me.”
I blush.
Again.
I can’t help it.
Something about Killian and how smooth his mouth always is makes me feel like a little girl with a school crush.
Killian laughs and he opens the door to the passenger side for me to get in.
When he gets in, he starts the car and drives off.
The drive is quick. We drove for about fifteen minutes until Killian parked the car in front of a hill with stairs leading up.
During the drive I kept looking up at the sky, admiring the stars. It’s such a perfect night for a dinner under the stars.
Killian opens my door and holds my hand.
We walk up the stairs and when we reach the top my jaw drops. I look at Killian with wide eyes and a full heart.
I know he knows that I love him, but I never told him directly and I almost want to tell him just from this.
There is a table set up on top of the hill and candles surrounding the table. If you look over the edge you can even, see the beach below.
The whole set up is beautiful and no one has ever done something this sweet for me.
Killian walks us towards the table and pulls out my chair for me to sit down.
“Killian, this is too much,” I say as I sit in my chair.
“Nothing will ever be too much for you. You only deserve the best.”
Once he sits in his chair, he pours some champagne in my glass.
I don’t drink, I just leave it alone on the table.
“Why’d you decide to do this?” I ask.
Killian shrugs. “I don’t know, I guess I just wanted to do something nice for you.” Killian licks his bottom lip, appearing nervous. “I feel a lot for you, and I just want to show it.” Killian reaches over the table to hold my hand in his. “I’ve never felt this way about anyone. You make me feel crazy, Reign.”
“I hope it’s the good kind,” I joke, laughing softly.
During the whole dinner, Killian holds my hand in his and rubs his thumb along the side of my hand and wrist.
They bring out some Greek garlic style chicken and roasted potatoes.
Killian asks me about Papa and if he’s called or messaged me, which he has.
I just haven’t mentioned it to Killian because I don’t want to focus on our dads right now and what might possibly happen when we return back home.
Papa has been calling non-stop and asking me where I’ve gone and if it has to do with Killian.
I did text him saying not to worry and that I’m okay. I told him I was going to be gone for a little bit just to figure some things out with Killian and not to try to find me.
