“Let me fucking help you-”
“No! I should have never trusted you. I was wrong to think a girl like my sweet daughter could ever love a man like you. You’re dead De Luca. Dead to me. And eventually dead to Reign. Can’t believe I was even close to trusting you.” Malcom gets up slowly and I try to help him, but he rips my arms off him and backs away from me.
“Malcom-”
Malcom looks at me again, betrayal in his eyes. “I’m not going to tell you again. You’re dead to us De Luca!”
Thirty-Five
Reign
I’m sorry.
I furrowmy eyebrows while looking at the text that Star sent.
It makes me nervous because what on earth can he be sorry for?
I texted him back, asking why but no response.
So, for the past thirty minutes, I’ve been anxiously waiting for Killian and Papa to arrive home as Baba, and I talk.
Right now, she is explaining to me how everything happens for a reason.
Like how our whole lives are basically planned ahead for us.
Everyone has a destiny and eventually you’ll find out what that is but until then, you’re just walking around on the earth just living and breathing.
But all this talk about destiny and fate isn’t helping me get my mind off Killian or Star.
Up until Star’s message, I’ve been having a smile on my face, feeling great because Killian’s opening up more and everyday feels like a dream, almost too good to be true.
He already knows so much about me while I didn’t even know what his favorite movie is.
His favorite movie is Jumanji which is such a classic. That was his favorite movie as a child as well as Marvel movies.
I learned that deep down Killian is such a nerd.
Whether it be about his favorite movies, cars, or just random psychological facts he knows.
I wish I could spend more time with Killian, and he could be welcomed in the house.
I asked Killian if he would want to do anything else but work for his family and he said he can’t think of anything that would make him happier.
Talking to him about that made me wonder if Killian would ever go back to his family or if he will eventually leave.
What is his plan for his family?
What’s his plan for us?
“What are you thinking so hard about my sweet girl?” Baba asks and I look up at her, blushing, because I can’t help it. “It’s that Killian boy, isn’t it?” Baba asks, a smirk sneaking up on her face.
I smile and shake my head lightly. “You and your crazy theories, Baba.”
“They aren’t crazy. A grandmom knows.”
No, my Baba isn’t crazy. She 100% knows along with everyone else in the house most likely. I know Baba has liked Killian since day one because I would always catch her staring at him or whenever Killian and I were together she would smile at us.
“Yea,” I say softly, looking at my hands nervously.
