My gaze runs over her body.I want to possess every inch of her so goddamn bad.
Sweat trickles down the back of my dress shirt. I discreetly lean forward, tugging it from my sticky back.
Lexi watches me, an amused smile on her red lips. She shifts closer to me, her dress riding higher on her thigh. “Stop staring at me before I toss this glass of water in your face.”
My gaze drops to them. I ache for them to be wrapped around my head and waist.
Turning my attention away from her, I take another swig of water, wondering if the waiter can bring me a hose.
After I’ve drained the glass, I set it on the table. My hand slides to Lexi’s thigh. My palm tingles the second I make contact with her bare skin.
Lexi bristles, her cheeks scarlet from anger. She tries to push my hand away, but I tighten my grip, my fingers digging into her thigh.
After placing our order, my father starts droning about the company, boring me out of my skull. My hand slides beneath the hem of Lexi’s dress. I’m bored to tears as he deludes himself into believing I’ll work for him.
I have other plans. I’m well into my master’s program in psychology and going straight for my Ph.D. for a reason. Not only will becoming a professor offer a more flexible schedule than the drudgery of working at Whitmore Industries, but it will allow me to continue doing projects when Jaxson King and Zayne Morine, owners of King Morine, need assistance.
King Morine is a leader in the technology and security field, and unbeknownst to Lexi, the cameras I installed in her bedroom are their top-of-the-line model.
Last weekend, I met up with Jaxson and Zayne and picked up the cameras. Luca Federico was with them, showing me the latest tracking devices they’ve been working on. I was piqued by the one that can be installed in a watch or necklace, so I bought it, thinking it may be useful.
My gaze slides to the necklace Lexi wears.Oh, it’ll definitely come in handy.
As my hand slides higher, Lexi stiffens. She bites her lip, squeezing her thighs together. “What’re you doing?” she hisses.
When my father turns to Cynthia, I push her legs apart. My finger grazes her panties as her wide-eyed gaze darts to mine. I raise my brows in a silent challenge, daring her to make a scene. “What does it feel like?” I whisper back.
She looks away, staring intently at her plate. I slide a finger inside her, my lips parting when her breath hitches. She bites her lip, and I nearly moan aloud. She’s fucking soaked for me.
Chairs pull out, and movement at the table across from us draws my attention. I bristle at the arrival of Henry and Owen Alexander. I can’t stand Owen, who has beef with my best friend, Trent. His father, Henry, is an arrogant, controlling asshole.
I slide my finger out of Lexi, grinning as she glares at me. When my father leans over and kisses Cynthia, I shove my finger inside my mouth, tasting her juices.
Lexi’s thighs slam together, her face darkening with anger. She’s pissed that I keep teasing her but haven’t made her come yet.
Lexi grabs her glass and takes a long drink of water. When she sets it down, her jaw is clenched.
Owen looks over at us, his eyes locking on Lexi with interest. I scowl, my hands clenching into fists.
She feels his eyes on her and turns her attention to him. When she studies him with interest, rage pounds in my ears, and blood flows to my extremities.
Oh, hell no.There’s no fucking way I’m allowing this to continue.
CHAPTER 11
Evan
Owen looks at Lexi as though she’s on the menu until he catches my watchful, narrowed eyes. His face drains of color when he takes in my murderous expression. You wanna fucking go, asshole? I’ll take you behind the restaurant and beat the shit outta you.
Veins stand up in my arms as I clench and unclench my fists, causing Owen to squirm in his chair, his eyes dropping to the table. That’s what I fucking thought.
I squeeze Lexi’s leg, causing her to look away from Owen.
Her expression darkens, and a scowl forms on her perfect red lips. “Excuse me. I need to use the restroom.” Lexi stands so quickly that my hand falls from her leg. She strides away before I can speak.
As she passes Owen, she gives him a flirty smile. Then she throws me a smug look over her shoulder, victory shining in her mocha eyes.
Oh, she’s gonna pay for that stunt.
