I thrust into her hard three more times and let out a soft groan. My release poured out of me and filled her, both of us panting.
“Anson is here—” Fox stopped in the doorway, his eyes narrowing when he saw the trouble we’d gotten into. “Really, E? It couldn’t wait until we didn’t have company? Get her cleaned up.” He turned and left the room.
I winced and looked to Cole, who smirked at me.
“He’s just pissed he didn’t think of it,” Cole said.
I chuckled and pulled out of her. She made to sit up, but Cole was on his feet and coming to stand where I’d been. He pushed her back onto the table.
“Cole?” she started, but he buried his face between her legs and ate her out.
I tucked myself away, amused at his antics.
“Go, E. I’ll clean up,” Cole mumbled from between her legs. She let out a soft mewl beneath his tongue.
I kissed her deeply, enjoying the soft moans she gave to me before I broke away from her.
“Love you, sweetheart,” I whispered against her lips.
“L-love you,” she managed to choke out, her body jerking from Cole’s tongue buried in her pussy.
Feeling content, I went out to the main living room and took in Anson sitting on the couch. He was a big guy. I was a bit smaller than he was, but not by much. Still, seeing him sitting beside Fox, both of them talking and Fox actually smiling, made me feel good. I liked to see everyone happy.
“Hey, Ethan,” Anson greeted me.
“Hey, how’s it going?” I sat on the loveseat and tried to straighten my hair.
Anson’s blue eyes darted to the motion before there was a sound from the kitchen that was definitely Rosalie.
Anson’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and Fox cleared his throat.
“Uh, Enzo is on the phone, and Cole is—”
“I get it. I know where Cole is,” Anson said, a sour note in his voice.
“Yeah,” Fox muttered, looking away. “Anyway, so tonight we’re having Dom over for a few hours. He’s not dealing with his wife’s death all that well. We’re just going to try to get his mind off things.”
Anson nodded. “I’m really sorry to hear it happened. This world is messed up.”
I sighed.
Fox gave me a slight shake of his head, warning me to not fall into my hole of despair.
“So Rosalie mentioned a sing-off?” Fox continued.
“Yeah, I was going to see if you wanted to come too, but you’re probably better off here,” Anson said.
Fox frowned. I knew he’d rather be with Rosalie than here watching a friend crumble and break. Hell, I’d rather be anywhere but here. Well, almost anywhere. Wherever Rosalie was, that’s where I wanted to be.
“There will be another one in a few weeks. They organize them pretty frequently,” Anson said. “So maybe you can join us then.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Fox offered him a quick smile.
There was a loud bang in the kitchen, followed by Rosalie’s laughter. Anson looked away, a muscle thrumming along his jaw.
I hated the tension. Anson was a decent guy. I was glad Rosalie had him, but at the same time, I knew more could develop if we let it. It would never happen because Cole would kill him. Too bad because I thought he could fit in.
And I’d rather he fit in than run off with our girl because we were fuck-ups.
