“It’s OK,” he said gently. “It’s nothing bad.”

I sat up and wiped my eyes. “It’s not?”

“Well.” He winced. “I’m not being called into the fold yet. I anticipate it being soon, though.”

“What’s going on?” Dominic asked.

Vincent sighed. “Well, my father is on Matteo’s side. You know that. They’re best friends and have been for years. He’d never betray him.”

“I know,” Dominic muttered.

“So why do they think you and Levin would betray Dom?” Fallon cut in. “They know what it’s like to be loyal, clearly, so what’s the end game here?”

“I honestly don’t know. I think Klaus is under the impression that Levin is his ride-or-die because of blood and loyalty to their family since Stefan’sdeath. My father is more like me. He even said he doesn’t want me to go there, but he feels like I should prepare myself for it.”

“Did he give you a hint on what Matteo’s planning?” I asked, hoping Alessio may have slipped up the smallest amount.

“No, B. Nothing. The call wasn’t so much about that anyway. My father was just checking in.”

“Does he check in often?” Fallon frowned.

Vincent shrugged. “He has before. I suppose we were due for a chat.”

“So what did he really want?” I looked to Vincent, desperate for something that wasn’t going to hurt.

“He said he’ll be here for graduation.”

I blinked at him. “Oh.”

Vincent nodded. “Yeah, but honestly, my father has always turned up at all my stuff. Not that I ever did much, but he did manage to make it to everything. I guess I expected him at graduation too.”

“And Levin?” I pressed. “Drake?”

“Sorry, baby, nothing,” Vincent said sadly.

“No news is good news. If something were wrong with Levin, Alessio would tell you,” Dominic said. “That much I can be sure of.”

“I know. Levin is OK. He’s too tough to be hurt.” Vincent sighed.

“And too mean,” Fallon added with a smile.

“Let’s not worry about it. Levin would want us to keep Bianca busy. So, let’s do that.” Dominic kissed me tenderly.

“What about Drake?” I whispered against his lips.

“Him also.” He kissed me again, his hand sliding up my thigh.

I stopped his trek, moved away from him, and shot him a pointed look. He smirked at me after glancing at Stella, who was frowning down at her manicure.

“Fine. Soon,” Dominic said, getting to his feet.

Soon couldn’t get here quick enough.

Getting some alone time with the guys was just what I needed.
