I thought maybe I’d awake and find it had all been made up in my head, but no, I was sandwiched between two gorgeous men.
“You OK?” Drake asked as I stared at the ceiling, not quite sure what to do with my hands.
“Yeah.”
“Come here.” He dragged me to him, and I rested my head on his chest, listening to the even beating of his heart. Gently, he raked his fingers through my hair, making the tension ease from my body.
“Is this real?” I whispered.
“Of course it is,” he murmured before pressing a kiss to the top of my head. “Are you happy, malen'koye solnyshko?”
“I’m scared.”
“Tell me why.”
I breathed out. “It’s just scary. Things are too good. I’m worried that something bad is just around the corner. We’re stuck here in a house that isn’t ours, interfering in the lives of others. What are we going to do, Ducky? What if—”
“Shh. No what-ifs. OK? None. Anything can happen, but we will overcome all of it. I promise.”
“How do you know?” I looked at him.
He reached out and cradled my face. “Because I know how fucking much I love and care about you. That alone is all the fuel I need to kill every motherfucker who gets in my way.”
“You’re crazy,” I whispered.
“For you.” He brushed his lips against mine. I parted my lips for him and kissed him back, his words and touch sending warmth through my body.
Warm arms encircled me a moment later and dragged me away from Drake.
“Go away, Petrov,” Dominic grumbled, hugging me against him.
“Not happening, De Santis. You made the mistake of inviting me into your bed. Consider me the crazy you can’t get rid of now. The kind that burns your house down when you try.”
Dominic’s lips descended on my neck as I watched Drake. His eyes narrowed as he took in Dominic showering affection on me.
“When I get back, you better be gone,” Dominic said to Drake, releasing me and getting out of bed.
Drake simply smirked at him as Dominic left to go into the bathroom.
“What do you think he’ll do to me if I’m still here?”
“Probably not something I’d want you to endure,” I answered as he scooted closer to me and brushed my hair away from my face.
“I’ll take my chances.” He kissed me sweetly, dragging the breath from my lungs.
“You should go. No one defies Dominic,” I whispered as he peppered kisses along my jaw.
“I need to be with you. I’ve missed you.”
“We do have a lot we need to talk about,” I said, angling my neck to give him better access.
“We do,” he agreed, his hand moving to my hip, where he gave me a squeeze. “There’s a lot I need to say to you.”
“I thought I told you to be gone,” Dominic said, coming back into the room and interrupting what I was about to say.
I jerked away from Drake as Dominic slid back into bed behind me and tugged me tightly against his body, shame washing over me. It was hard to wrap my head around that Dominic had allowed Drake in so. . . easily. It made me feel suspicious and unnerved. And last night. . .
“Thought I’d risk it,” Drake said without an ounce of fear.
