We went to the door in the garage. The garage doors closed us in, and Dominic opened the door that led into the house. We stepped inside to a gorgeous wide hallway that had shiny hardwood floors and beautiful pine walls that looked like the logs from the trees outside.
“Wow,” I murmured as he led me into the kitchen, the guys following.
Everything was so pretty and rustic. Even the counters were made from polished logs.
“Dominic, this is gorgeous,” I said, looking around at the massive kitchen.
“He’s been working on it for the better part of a year,” Vincent said. “I picked out that faucet. Slick, huh?” Vincent turned it on, and a light shone into the cascading water from it. It blinked different colors, making me smile. It definitely said Vinny on it.
“I love it,” I said, grinning.
Dominic moved forward to show us all the cupboards completely stocked with food and drinks. Even the walk-in pantry was loaded down. We followed him into the living room with a floor-to-ceiling window like the other house had. A deck jutted out from it with a hot tub and a place to grill food. A massive TV hung on the wall, and there was loads of seatingon the wraparound leather couch, chairs, and additional leather sofa.
He showed us the basement. I took note that it was also stocked to the teeth with food. When we finished there, he led us back upstairs to a big room down a hall that was set up like a hospital room.
“And let’s hope we never need to use it,” Levin muttered.
“It’s there if we need it,” Dominic said simply.
Next, we went upstairs. I stared down at the living room from the balcony over it and smiled. Dominic had really gone all out on this place.
“Everything is basically a bedroom up here. There’s also a lounge with a pool table and other things, like a bar. So pick your rooms. I made sure all of them were stocked with clothes and bathroom essentials. I hate sharing bathrooms, so I made sure every room had its own. Pick however you want. Bunk up. Sleep alone. I don’t care.” Dominic looked everyone over. “My room is this one.” He pointed to the room behind him. “Bianca will be staying with me in here. The room across the hall is the nursery, so it’s off-limits.”
“Why do you get her?” Fallon asked.
“Because I said so.”
“What if we want her with us?” Drake shot me a look of longing that set butterflies flapping wildly in my guts.
“Then she can decide where she wants to sleep. My room is her main room, though. That’s not negotiable.” Dominic’s voice took on that stern, no-nonsense tone he used when he wasn’t open to compromise.
“It’s fine. I’ll be sure to make my rounds. Besides, we won’t be here long anyway. A night or two at the most, so it’s a moot point. And. . .” I bit my bottom lip and looked to Dominic. “I don’t mind if everyone wants to join me in here with Dominic.”
Dominic let out a little huff of laughter.
“Dirty girl, B,” Vincent said, grinning at me. “Dibs on joining them tonight.”
“Fuck you. I’m coming too,” Levin said.
I looked to Fallon and Drake. “You guys want to come to my sleepover?”
“You know I do, princess,” Fallon said. “But I doubt we’ll make it up here for it.”
Drake didn’t say a word. Instead, he took my hand and pushed past Dominic. I laughed as he pulled me down onto the giant bed beside him.
“What an ass,” Levin grumbled, but he joined us a minute later, tugging me away from Drake while Fallon told him to share.
I snuggled against Levin, feeling good for a moment.
I just wished it could last.
CHAPTER 22
Fallon
“What are you making?”I sniffed the air in the kitchen.
“Five cheese ziti. Bread. Bianca likes it with garlic and cheese. It’s one of her favorite meals,” Dom said, pushing his black-rimmed glasses up his nose.
