I snarled and banged on the door again before storming back into the kitchen. I paced for a moment, irritated. Then I went to Ashes’s room. There was no way in hell siren and Cadence had come from the same fucking womb. Cadence was a complete nightmare and siren was. . . fucking perfect.
Goddamnit to fucking hell.
“What?” Ashes mumbled from beneath his covers as I strode into his bedroom.
“Fucking Cadence is in my bathroom and won’t get out. Can I use yours?”
“Yeah,” he mumbled.
Sighing, I went into his bathroom and drained the piss which was strangling my cock, then I washed my hands and walked out to find Ashes still buried beneath his blankets.
“Hey,” I called out.
He grunted again.
“Ashes. Come on. I need to talk to you.”
“What is it?” he mumbled, not bothering to pop his head up from beneath his blanket.
“Cadence is in Stitches’s room. She can’t stay in there. She needs to sleep in the basement or something.”
Ashes was quiet for a moment before he let out a heavy sigh and sat up. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
“Have you spoken to Church?”
“No.”
“Then talk to Church. She annoys him too. I think you guys need to relax. She’s Sirena’s sister. We should be nice to her.”
“Fuck that. She’s being annoying on purpose.”
“She’s Sirena’s sister,” he repeated evenly. “We aren’t going to be mean to her. She’s here because she cares about Sirena.”
“She’s here because she’s fucking nuts.”
“Aren’t we all?” Ashes raised an eyebrow at me.
I exhaled and raked my fingers through my hair.
“Fuck, man. I can’t deal with the fucking estrogen.” I tugged my hair again. “I can’t. She’s been here less than twenty-four hours and already I’m ready to pull my fucking hair out.”
Ashes sighed. “She’s actually a cool chick. Give her a chance.”
I paced his room for a minute. “Whatever. I just want this shit over with.”
I strode to his door.
“I’ll be down in a minute. Try to not strangle this one,” Ashes muttered.
I gave him the finger and stomped back to the living room, a little irritated he’d made that jab at me. It didn’t matter. He was probably irritated that I’d woken him. A jab was far less than what I knew my treacherous ass deserved.
Sighing, I shuffled into the kitchen and poured a bowl of cereal before chowing it down, vowing to make a point to stay the fuck out of the house if Cadence was going to be here. Then again, she’d probably lay claims to my room.
I rinsed my bowl then went out to the patio to smoke a joint, needing the escape.
“Bit early to be getting high, isn’t it?” Cadence called out.
I closed my eyes and took another hit.Fuck this day.
