“You know I will,” I said with a teasing smile.

Her cheeks flushed, but she nodded and turned so I could rub her down.

“Grace, we need to get dresses for homecoming,” Lana chirped up as she settled onto her blanket and adjusted her sunglasses.

Grace tensed beneath my fingers, and my heart fell as I rubbed her shoulders. I’d planned on asking her, I just hadn’t yet. Wanting the moment to be special, I’d been putting it off. With homecoming being a few weeks out, I was cutting myself short.

“Uh, I don’t know if I’m going—”

The hell she wasn’t.

“You’re going,” I cut in as Ryan lifted a brow and smirked at me. “I mean, I planned on asking you.” Fuck, this wasn’t how I planned on doing this, that was certain. “Will you go to homecoming with me, Gracie?”

She turned and gave me a tentative smile. “You’re up for homecoming king.”

“So?” I frowned at her.

“I’m a nobody.”

“What? Who the hell says? You’remygirl. That’s all that fucking matters. You belong with me at my side.”

She fidgeted for a moment. I was grateful with Ryan engaged Lana in a conversation to take the heat off mine and Grace’s conversation.

I shifted in front of her, taking her hands in mine. “I really want you to go with me, Gracie. Please? Be my date. We should be together at this.”

She nodded and offered me a weak smile. “Then everyone will know about us.”

“Fuck everyone,” I said softly. “Me and you. We’re the only ones who matter. I want to go public with you.”

“You do?”

“Don’t you?” I lifted her hand and pressed my lips to the top.

She shrugged. “Yeah, but I’m kinda scared.”

“I’ll protect you. Promise. Once everyone knows you’re mine, no one will say shit to you. If they do, I’ll punch them in their damn face.”

“You can’t punch everyone,” she said, a tiny smile playing on the corners of her lips.

I smirked and leaned in. “You severely underestimate my desire to have you and make you happy, baby.”

Her face flushed again before my mouth was on hers, kissing her deeply. “Say yes,” I said between kisses. “I’ll make it worth your while.”

“Promise?”

“Mhmm,” I mumbled against her lips as I twisted my fingers in her hair.

“OK. I’ll go.”

My heart soared, and I kissed her again, my tongue dancing along hers.

“Damn, you two need a fucking room.” Lana giggled, breaking into my thoughts of pushing Grace onto the beach blanket and eating her out until she screamed my name.

Grace eased back from me and gave Lana a sheepish smile. “He gets carried away.”

I let out a roar of laughter. “Right. Keep telling yourself that.”

She gave me a wink which made me smirk wider, my cock having trouble settling down. Thankfully, my towel was still on my lap and hiding my raging hard-on.
