She swallowed. “I-I don’t know.”

“Yes or no.”Please say yes.

“I-Yes.”

I couldn’t keep the grin off my face. I hauled her closer to me and pressed my lips to hers. She melted against me almost immediately. I deepened our kiss, trying to not scare her away by moving too fast, but damn I wanted to taste her again. The bathroom incident was something done on a dare. But this was the real thing now. I needed to work up to more later on so she didn’t think the physical shit was all I wanted from her.

It was so hard to control myself as my excitement brought me to new highs.

Grace Matthews was mine.

I could still win the bet.

I shoved that last thought out of my head. The bet doesn’t matter.I repeated it over and over before it faded away, leaving me with just the thoughts of Grace being mine.

CHAPTER31

Grace

No one said a word to us when we came out of the bedroom later that morning, but I did notice Ryan shooting looks at Logan. And Lana’s eyes were wide, her silent way of telling me we’d talk about it later. I hugged her bye while Logan and Ryan carried their stuff and mine out to Logan’s jeep.

“Hey, thanks, man,” Ryan said as we pulled up to his house a little later. He clapped Logan on the shoulder before getting out of the backseat, grabbing his bag on the way.

They’d talked football the whole drive, except when they’d gossiped about Dax meeting some girl online he was into. I’d kept quiet as I sat in the front seat. The moment Ryan walked away, Logan put the Jeep into reverse, and we shot out of his driveway only to stop a few blocks away.

“What are we doing?” I glanced around before turning to him.

We hadn’t talked much after Logan had asked me to officially be his girlfriend. Not that we’d really had much of a chance. While we were still at Lana’s with everyone else, we stole glances at one another, and I’d be lying if I said my heart didn’t race every time I’d catch his eye. I felt like this couldn’t possibly be real, but it had to be because he was sitting beside me right now, staring at me like I was the best thing he’d ever seen before.

Instead of answering my question, he leaned in and pressed his lips against mine. “This,” he murmured, kissing me again.

Warmth swept through me as his hand wrapped around the nape of my neck and he brought me closer.

He nipped and sucked as he kissed, making my toes curl. Holy hell, Logan Walker could kiss. Every nibble made my heart tumble. Every soft breath against my lips made goosebumps erupt along my skin.

When we broke apart, we were both breathless.

“I fucking love kissing you. You have no idea how much torture it was to wait to do it again,” he said softly, his gaze darting to my swollen lips.

My face grew hot at his words, not to mention all the memories swirling in my head of us in just one night. My phone pinged, ruining the moment and pulling both our attentions away.

I slipped it out and frowned at the screen. My notifications were going off the charts. I was lucky if I had three a week, let alone the three hundred that now greeted me.

“What is it?” he asked, his brows crinkled as the notifications continued to keep rolling in.

“I don’t know,” I said, tapping on the notification window and reading the first message.

It was on a photo of me and Logan together. Him kissing my cheek and me with my eyelids squeezed shut. He’d set it as his profile photo on all his social media accounts.

“What the hell?” I asked, my mouth going dry as I stared down at my phone.

Ugly comments on the photo greeted me.

This must be a joke.

Are you for real, man?

Gross. Grace Matthews? Are you that hard up?
