“What do you mean?” Riccardo looked less angry now that I was telling him what happened.
“Well, I think I heard some kind of auction, and there was a man yelling at her to get back in line.” I tried to think what else was on that phone call that could be important, but couldn’t think over the headache that was forming.
“You are in no shape to try and figure out what’s happening in another country right now.” The mania in his eyes slowly bled out.
“My neck hurts really bad. Do you think you can fix it?” I asked my husband.
“Why would I do a silly thing like that,” he mused. “I don’t even remember doing that. Maybe you punished yourself.”
I turned my head slightly to look at him, wincing at the throbbing pain in my neck. Riccardo had his phone out in one hand, and the other slipped into his pants. Relief washed over me, but it was fragile, like a thread I was terrified would snap at any moment.
“My little wife, how desperate are you to find your friend?”
I shook my head, uncaring of the pain. “P-please, I’ll do anything.”
He tilted his head. “Anything?”
“Absolutely,” I promised.
He leaned down and kissed my lips. “Stop fighting.”
I gasped in horror. That would mean–
He nodded, confirming my suspicions. “Give me an heir, and don’t fight this marriage. If you can do that, I’ll save your friend.”
“Always the bargains with you,” I mumbled.
He gripped my chin in his hand. “Say what I want to hear.”
I glared into his eyes and saw no leniency. He wanted this marriage with me. I knew now that there would be no running. My chance was lost. He would never let me go after this.
“I-I will. I won’t fight you, and I will give you a child,” I agreed through gritted teeth. I think the child part was taken care of already from how I was feeling lately.
“Excellent.” Riccardo whipped his phone out with a smile. “Samuel, I need you to fly to America for me.” He summed up the situation while I dozed off and on, tuning out his words.
“It’s finished,”Sebastian promised and untied me from the table. “You took your punishment well, my little mouse.”
I sank into his embrace, and he swung me into his arms, jostling my neck too much, and causing blood to flow out of my wound all over him. He ignored it all as he took me to the bedroom.
I closed my eyes, and the next time I blinked them open, a doctor was shining his light in my eye. I swatted at his hand, but my arms were weighted down from exhaustion. The familiar doctor rolled me over, and I felt a pinch in the back of my neck.
A numbness cooled my neck, and I relaxed for the first time since Sebastian had cut me up. I bore his marks now, and no matter where I went, people would know that I was his.
It was skin deep.
“N-Nina?” I croaked, as soon as Sebastian came into view. Guess Riccardo had changed back.
He shrugged. “All Samuel said was he had an idea of where she might be located, but it was secret, and he had to go dark. I won’t know more until he checks in with me again.”
I felt tears well in my eyes.
He tsked. “Don’t worry, little wife. We have a ton of things we can focus on while we wait.” He waggled his eyebrows, but I just glared at him. Sebastian chuckled again. “I could always wait until you are asleep, I guess. I know how much you love that.”
I knew it. My eyes widened with shock, as I realized he knew about Riccardo fucking me in my sleep. Without my consent. There were mornings where I’d woken up sore and couldn’t explain it, like his dick was imprinted inside of my pussy. I’d accepted it, but it still stung knowing he was aware.
“H-how?”
“You’re a sound sleeper. Even when you woke up, I kept you on my cock until you fell asleep.”
