He handed me something squishy. I grabbed it before I looked down, and then I screamed. In my hand were Headmaster Mikhail’s fingers, tied in a bow with a black shoe string.
“You don’t like my gift?” His hurt tone made me realize that this was who he was, and I didn’t want to change him.
I cleared my throat. “No.” His face fell. “I love it.” I leaned forward and kissed the hell out of him. He may be a little psycho, but he was my psycho.
“And I love you,” Roman murmured against my lips.
“I love you too,” I said.
He picked up my bouquet of bloody appendages, and handed them back to me.
“Do you think we can preserve them?” After all, it was the first time I’d ever received ‘flowers’ before.
“I know a guy.” Roman wrapped an arm around me and we headed back to the boat. “We need to make one more stop after we get the girls settled.” He smirked down at me. He sent an order to his men to head back to The Academy. One. Last. Time.
CHAPTER THIRTY
Roman
I held the love of my life’s hand in my grasp. She tucked my gift away on her person so she wouldn’t scare her sisters, uncaring of the blood soaking her clothes or hand. She trembled in my arms as we went to find her sisters in the Villa they were stolen to. It wasn’t easy for me to bring her with me, but she needed to see that I would protect her in all things.
I took her up the staircase and we made it to the office. Men were crawling everywhere, as they grabbed the teachers, and subdued any that tried to fight them. The girls were easier. Many of them wanted to get out of this hell hole.
It was the princesses that were the problem.
The ones whose families loved them. They got everything they wanted, and weren’t a part of Headmaster Mikhail’s enterprise. They were the true treasures here. Leverage for the Bratva.
We entered the office, and the young woman with sad eyes still stood next to his dead body. She wasn’t wearing any clothes. I dropped Valentina’s hand and tore off my suit jacket.
I handed it to my woman, and turned to face the door.
Valentina walked slowly past me, tears welling in her eyes. I waited as my wife whispered to her sister.
“You can turn around now,” she said after a while.
I did slowly, my eyes locking on my wife’s, never once leaving hers once we connected.
“Roman, this is my sister, Isadora.” Valentina motioned toward her.
I nodded, but didn’t move my gaze away from hers. Unwavering approval was shown in her orbs, mixed with something else that I couldn’t put my finger on.
“Isadora, this is my husband, Roman.” Her acceptance of me was staggering.
My heart overflowed. Finally, at last, Valentina had accepted our relationship. She placed her ownership on me like a collar. I stalked toward her, needing my hands on her body.
A whimper came from my side, but I didn’t allow it to distract me from my wife. I wrapped my arms around her body, and bit the side of her neck.
“Oh, wow,” Isadora gasped.
“I know.” Valentina giggled like a schoolgirl, despite the dead body in the room. “He’s always like this.”
She was right. I couldn’t resist touching her. But now wasn’t the time to show my affection. I buried my face in her neck, trying to hide the bulge in my pants. As soon as we were alone, I would penetrate her with my throbbing member. Despite our significant age difference, I felt a profound connection with her, as though we had lived countless lives together.
“We are getting out of here, Isa,” Valentina rasped, her voice choked up.
“Thank you for keeping your promise, sis,” Isadora said.
As we walked out of the Villa, Benedikt appeared at the entrance. His gaze shifted between me and Isadora, who approached us from behind with a confident stride. My greatuncle’s jaw dropped slightly, and he seemed transfixed by her presence. It was a rare sight to see him speechless in the face of a woman.
