With my cheeks flushed, I curled my knees into my chest. “Again… what are you doing here?”
“I planned on coming to see you tonight.”
“That’s news to me. You haven’t even bothered or thought to stop by before now,” I said, glaring at him. “There are things we need to talk about, Gilen.”
“There are.” His head tilted over toward my bookstand that held the rock he had painted for me on top. “I see you received my gift.”
“And?”
“And… I know we need to talk about a lot of things, Skylar, but does that really matter?” He said moving through the frame of the window. “Can’t we just be here… right now, with each other? You have no idea how much I’ve missed you.”
His confession made me pause, retracting my claws and softening a bit. “Regardless, it doesn’t explain why you were lurking outside my bedroom.” I didn’t sound as hard as I wanted, but I couldn’t fight against the rush of feelings I had for Gilen that were returning to the forefront of my heart.
“I didn’t mean to startle you,” he replied as he pushed his hair back and away from his face. A sly grin curled at the corner of his mouth that he could not hide from me or simply didn’t bother to. “But as I approached your house, I heard the most entrancing moan of pl—”
“No… no, stop.” I shuddered, interrupting him. I held up my hands to cover my crimson face, begging him not to continue. “I was having aprivatemoment. Not meant for you or anyone else.”
“A shame,” Gilen replied, a devilish grin on his face as he crept toward me, casually leaning over the foot of my bed.
“A shame?” I asked, cocking an eyebrow in his direction.
“I would give anything for your private moment to include me,” Gilen answered in a deep, low voice laced with passion, his hooded eyes holding me in a heated stare.
Okay, I was mad, confused, and so many other things at him… but damn.
My stomach fluttered, and I could feel the faint thrumming between my legs now begin to throb with ache. I swallowed a gasp as I bit my bottom lip to turn away. A low growl emanated from Gilen’s chest that sent the hairs on my neck standing straight. It wasn’t aggressive or predatory—instead it was like a purr of delight.
“That should be mine,” Gilen said as he sat on the end of my bed, grasping my chin between his fingers and running his thumb along my bottom lip. “That and so much more.”
Without a second to think or say anything in reply, Gilen leaned in and kissed me. His tongue parted my lips, and I moaned in response to the taste of his kiss. He quickly moved to pull me into his lap. I wrapped my legs around his hips and raised up on my knees to kiss him deeper. My tongue dipped into his mouth as I looped my arms possessively around his neck, tugging on the back of his hair to hold him exactly where I needed him to be.
Gilen moaned against my lips, encouraging me to continue exploring his mouth with my own. He possessively groped my ass as his hips began to buck upward, running his hardened length between my aching thighs. I pushed my breasts against his firm chest, feeling his rapid breaths match mine as the friction between our writhing bodies erected my nipples into hardened points. Pleasure radiated through my core as Gilen moved his hands under my shirt, ravaging my body with his heated touch.
Gods, he felt amazing. I had been pushing back my pain and suffering for so long that giving into this erotic escape of my senses felt like a dream.
To my extreme dismay, Gilen released his hold on me and broke our kiss. His breathing was heavy, and when he opened his eyes, I could see the depths of his desire raging behind a whisper of control.
He wanted me.
I wanted him.
Gilen bit his bottom lip, moving his hands to cup my face, delicately stroking my hair aside. “Want to come flying with me?”
Sitting on his lap, I could feel his erection pushing up against my apex as I slowly began to circle my hips. “You sure you want to go flying right now?” I asked in a hushed whisper against his ear.
“Fuck, Skylar,” Gilen cursed through clenched teeth, his eyes rolling to the back of his head. “You’re sure you’re still a virgin? Not complaining, as I am clearly enjoying every second of this.”
“I never said I wasn’t experienced in… other things,” I answered as I lowered my lips to the base of his ear.
Nibbling on his earlobe, I felt him stiffen and shudder between my thighs. All my confusion from before had been brushed aside, and all I wanted to do was forget the pain I had endured—to live in this moment and the heated passion that Gilen was feeding me.The erotic sensations shooting through my body were so intense I didn’t know if I could break away. Gilen grabbed my hip with one hand and pulled at the base of my neck with the other. His teeth nipped at the skin on the crook of my neck, causing my mind to become a haze of lust and ecstasy.
His breath was ragged as he fought against his own desires, his voice quivering and laced with heat. “Not here, Sky… Come fly with me.” He shifted my weight off his lap and stood from the bed.
My hooded eyes were heavy with lust as they drifted down to his fully hardened length, visible through his loose pants.
“I believe he has other ideas,” I said, gesturing to his hardened shaft.
“Fly with me first?” he asked again. “I promise it’ll be worth it.”
