“Yeah, I’ve never dated one of his players before, but I don’t think he’ll care.”

Taylor examined her seemingly mulling over her words in his head.

“What if we tell him together?”

“Yeah... I think I’d like that... Well, like might not be the right word, but you know what I mean,” he said as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

“But right now,” she said, pulling at his chest, “Why don’t we focus on other things?”

“Hmmmm, I like where your mind is,” he said, settling between her legs. “But I’m going to need you to tell me what exactly it is you are thinking about?” he said in a low, sultry tone as he pressed kisses to her throat.

“I’m thinking you get under these covers and fuck me,” she said, pulling his shirt up over his shoulders.

And he did just that.

Taylor

The next morning, Taylor slipped out of bed to his alarm. He quietly got dressed and made his smoothie. Before leaving, he stopped in to say goodbye to the goddess sleeping in his bed. He opened his bedroom door, silently not wanting to wake her. They’d had another amazing night together. He was fairly convinced all their nights together would be amazing.

There, in his bed, was a sight he could get used to. Alice slept the same way she lived, in beautiful chaos. She had the blankets pulled tight around her shoulders and was hunkered into the pillow, her blond hair strewn all over. But she had tossed off all the blankets on her bottom half. Her round ass was covered by pink boy shorts, but her delicious ass cheeks hung out of the bottom, refusing to be contained.

After that perfect ass, her soft lush thighs were out of the covers, and he had to stop himself from going over and taking a bite out of them. But apparently, being around Alice was rubbingoff on him. He couldn’t stand to let such a beautiful blank canvas go undecorated. He crept over to her and got out the markers that sat next to her bed.

He uncapped a couple markers before writingMy Rainbow Girlin his neat print across her thigh. The smile that crept across his face, he felt in his very soul. She was his, and he would make sure she knew it. He would do whatever he could to make her life easier. She deserved to live her best possible life and feel love and acceptance, and he was going to do just that.

He ran his hand through her hair and kneeled next to the bed.

She stirred and gave him a sleepy smile.

“Good morning, sunshine,” he said, kissing her forehead. “I’m headed out for morning skate. I’ll be back when we’re done. I have some breakfast burritos prepped in the fridge, but you can help yourself to anything you can find.”

“Okay,” she said with a sleepy smile. “I’ll see you when you get back.”

Taylor made his way out of his condo, looking at the blank slate of how he lived. The fact that the condo always looked like it could be used as a model unit never bothered him. He liked things tidy, and he didn’t have much interest in interior design, but he was ready to change that.

The thought of what Alice living here might do made him smile. There would be growing pains and arguments about clutter, but even those made him excited. They would find a way to make it work. He wasn’t sure why he felt so confident about that, as this wasn’t something he had in the past, but it was different with Alice.

He wasin the locker room lacing up his skates when Wes strolled in.

“Hey, Taylor,” he said, giving him a knowing grin. Taylor just nodded back at him. “I ran into a certain lady in the elevator last night.”

Glee flooded his tone.

Taylor’s eyes shot to him in warning.

“Is there something you would like to share with the class?” Wes asked jokingly.

Wes was a good guy, but he was also a giant kid at heart. This meant he was well meaning but didn’t seem to understand what was at stake. He trusted Wes not to tell Coach along with ninety percent of the guys in this room, but there were others that would do anything to get ahead. Niko Borishnovik was someone Taylor didn’t trust, and he could see his eyes on him.

“Shut the fuck up,” Cash said as he sat next to Taylor. “If you guys spent as much time worrying about the game as you did worrying about who your teammates are fucking, the cup would have been ours years ago.”

“That’s rich, coming from you,” Wes said playfully, punching Cash’s arm as he walked by. “This guy finally settles down and acts all grown and shit.”

Taylor pulled on his jersey and stood, making his way out onto the ice. He wasn’t usually the first one out there, but he didn’t want to be in the locker room anymore. He needed to tell Coach before this got out of hand.

Sasha was out there on the ice, getting footage.
