"Sorry about that," he said as he turned it down.

CASH

Before she knew what was happening, they were headed down the highway. He couldn't stop looking over at her. She really was one of the most beautiful people he had ever met. He reached out and put his hand on her thigh and smiled as she flipped his hand and laced her fingers with his. This didn't feel like fake dating, and he was glad, because she needed to lose that idea and fast.

"So where exactly are we going?" she asked as they left Glendale.

"You'll see," he said with a cocked eyebrow.

"You're really not going to tell me?"

He just shook his head.

"How do I know you aren't abducting me? Taking me somewhere to ravish me."

"Who said I'm not?"

"You don't fool me, Cash Hawthorn. You may have at first, but you're a n?—"

He dropped her hand and slid it up her inner thigh and gripped her hard, "I swear to god, if you say I'm nice I'm going to pull over right here and take you on the side of the road."

Her gasp excited him. Damn... he really did have it as bad as Wes had accused him of and he was finding he liked it.

"Well... It's a good thing my interest in finding out where you are taking me is only slightly bigger than the thought of what you just said."

They sat in a couple moments of silence, but she didn't take his hand back. It stayed right there between her legs for the rest of the ride. He was so close to her center he could feel the heat. Just another centimeter more and he would be touching her, but there would be time for that.

He slowed and turned the blinker on. She sat a little straighter next to him looking around. He turned into the Starview Drive-in.

"You brought me to a drive-in?"

"A double feature," he said in his sexiest voice.

"'I'm not sure what that is all about," she said laughing at him, "but I've never been to a drive-in movie before."

"Really?"

"Never."

"I would think you would have been here before."

"Nope, you're my first." He looked over to her and wagged his eyebrows. "Well not like that. That ship sailed in high school, but I do kind of feel like we are on a high school date. Skeeball, pretzels, and a drive-in."

Cas pulled into a spot and opened the app on his phone. After scanning the QR code on the post next to his he turned to ask. "What kind of snack? Popcorn? Red vines?"

"Popcorn, of course! and a Cherry Coke."

"Done." he said looking over at her, putting his phone down on the dash. Cash turned behind him and pulled out a blanket. "Shall we move this to the back?"

"You came prepared."

"I'm always prepared, baby girl."

“Always prepared huh? Like a sexy boy scout?”

The deep laugh that exploded from Cash seemed to surprise her. He got the feeling Evie hadn’t found many people in her life who appreciated this side of her.
