“She and I are together. As you may know already, it’s a complicated situation. We thought it would be best not to make a big thing about the timing of it all with your family.”
Mik takes another sip of her wine. “I agree. Mom and Dad would think you were being a slut.” Liam cringes at her verbiage.
“Jesus, Mikayla. Thanks so much for that,” I glare at her.
“You know I don’t think you are. I know your whole ‘once upon a time’ with Liam. I’m happy for you guys. Don’t worry. I won’t say anything.” She pretends to lock her lips and throw away the key. Liam visibly relaxes across from her.
He gets up from his chair, excusing himself, and guides me by my arm toward the bar. “I know we all agreed to pretend tonight, but if Killian kisses your face one more time, he’s going to end up with a broken jaw,” he growls.
I lean over and kiss his cheek. “I need to use the bathroom,” I whisper, looking around. Everyone is busy talking. Not one person is paying attention to us other than maybe Mikayla. “Mind coming with me?” I smile seductively at him. He catches on and practically drags me down the hall.
He pushes the door open and slams it shut, flipping the lock. His big hands pull my face to his lips as he presses my body against the door. “Fuck, Madison. I want you right now.”
“So take me,” I counter between kisses.
He unbuckles his belt and undoes his pants, freeing himself from his boxers. He pulls my lace underwear down and lifts me. My arms circle his neck, and my legs wrap around his hips. He moves my dress out of the way to slide his fingers between us. I moan into his mouth loudly.
“Might wanna keep it down if you don’t want to explain to your family the truth,” he laughs against my neck.
I’m already so wet. That’s what he does to me—with just a look and a simple touch. Not being near him and feeling his eyes track me all night had me ready for him. Feeling his hands on me set me over.
He locks his lips over mine, tasting like whiskey. Moving us away from the door, he carries me over to the wall. Not a second later, he enters me.
God, he’s so hard right now.
He isn’t gentle either, and I don’t want him to be. He slams in and out of me. My ass slaps the tiles with each thrust. Grunts fly off his lips as he nips at my neck and then runs a tongue over it to soothe it.
“You are mine, Madison. I can’t wait for the day we can tell everyone. This was absolute fucking torture.”
“Ahh. I know, babe. I promise to tell them in a few weeks. Ahh…fuuuuckk,” I mewl into his shoulder as his pace picks up. My walls clench around him and I am about to explode.
“I love you so fucking much, baby.”
He holds my lips captive as I ride out one of the most amazing orgasms ever. Liam follows right after me, emptying his release inside me.
We are both panting and trying to catch our breaths when he places me back on my feet. I grab some paper towels to clean up the mess when he restrains my wrist.
“Leave it. I want you to feel me there when you’re on his arm.” An inferno blazes in his eyes.Or is that my own eyes reflecting in his?Because right now—I am ready to abandon this party with him.
Liam leaves first, kissing me hard one last time before he goes. I’ll follow a few minutes later, so no one gets too suspicious. I fix my lipstick in the mirror and tidy my hair. My face and chest are flushed, and my eyes are gleaming. This man has changed my whole world. Where I was once a shell of a woman, I am now alive and confident in myself again. Liam worships me. He is always pushing me to see myself through his eyes. I couldn’t be more thankful for him.
Selena approaches me on my way out of the bathroom. “I need a cigarette desperately. Killian doesn’t like me smoking. Think we can sneak out for one?” She shoots me a wicked smile.
“I could use one too,” I laugh and link arms with her.
“I bet you could!” She winks at me. “Public bathroom sex is so hot.”
We pass Liam at the bar with my sister. The two of them are doing a round of shots and laughing. Looks like they are doing better than before. Killian is in deep conversation with my dad. We easily walk out the front door. We should have at least one bodyguard, but we’re literally right out front. I grab my crossover bag, retrieving my pack of cigarettes and lighter. I hand her one and the lighter after lighting my own.
“I’m sorry this is so awkward tonight. I plan on telling my family in a few weeks,” I say remorsefully. “I'm sure they will be supportive. It’s just a lot to take in and explain.”
“It’s fine. I wish I could say I get it—but I don’t. My dad ended my engagement with Killian a few years ago, as you know. He was shot and killed a few months ago in Miami. They think it was gang-related.” She takes a quick drag and blows out.
I wonder if that was when Liam was in Miami?
“I’m so sorry,” I rub her arm.
She takes a longer drag this time. “Don’t be. He had it coming, honestly. Our relationship was never great. So, how are things going with Liam?”
