I adjust my hat and say nothing.

Drew sighs. “He wants some privacy with whoever he was on the phone with forhoursyesterday. But I don’t need the details of our brother getting laid.”

“Fuck, I should have figured that out,” Zane says, scuffing his foot in frustration. “Really, man? That true?”

I shrug.

“Well, damn. All right. We’ll get out of your hair.”

Drew nods. “On one condition.”

“What’s that?”

“You do the same for us if we need it.”

“Of course.” I swing open the next gate and whistle to get the cows attention. “You looking for a wife, Drew?”

He just grunts.

But maybe Trick finally settling down with the woman of his dreams has unlocked something in the rest of us.

Maybe the Lowry boys are finally ready to believe in happiness.
