“Fuck no, I’m not leaving!” he shouts back heatedly.
“Now, son. It wasn’t a question, it’s an order,” Servite demands without turning to face Ace. Ace reluctantly leaves but leaves slamming the door on his way out. Now it’s just an irate-looking Agent Servite and me.
“Listen to me carefully,” he says, standing and walking toward me slowly. I lean back as far as I can without falling. I’m aware I’m now in his full view as his eyes travel down my body crudely. “You will help me find her or your little friends from your precious foster home will pay the price.”
He reaches a hand toward me running his fingers along my collarbone and down the middle of my breasts. I shut my eyes tightly trying to erase the image, the feel of his hands on me.
“You wouldn’t hurt them.”
“Don’t underestimate me or my influence, Scarlett. It wouldn’t be good for them to get expelled having nowhere left to go.”
I swallow hard at his threat, opening my eyes once I feel his hands leave my body.
“Fine, but you need to leave them and Jade out of this.” He nods in agreement. “And Ace, your nephew, can’t know.” He eyes mequestioningly at the mention of Ace. “It’s none of his concern and I won’t let him use this against me.”
“Done. Do we have a deal?” he asks, and I simply nod.
He reaches down to untie my legs, running his hands over them slowly. I almost kick him but the fear of what he’d do stops me. He comes behind me untying my hands and when he’s done, I quickly stand heading toward the door.
“Oh, and Scarlett,” he calls out right before I open the door. “You will speak to no one about our little meeting here. I needn’t remind you of the consequences. Make sure your sister keeps quiet as well. We wouldn’t want her to be a problem,” he threatens, and I head out without answering him or looking back.
Outside I’m relieved to find Jade still standing there with Bass and Ace, all eyes turning to me when I step out. Ace walks over to me but I quickly walk away heading toward Jade.
“Red, wait,” he calls out, but I ignore him, running to Jade and hugging her tightly. Bass steps back from her when he sees me approaching.
“I’m so sorry I never told you. I didn’t want to scare you, I never thought he’d actually…”
“No, Scar. I’m sorry I never noticed how weird you got when I mentioned his name. I should have been a better sister. I should have noticed. I should have protected you from him.”
“I’m the big sister, Jade, I do the protecting.” We both laugh and I wipe a stray tear from her cheek, and she laughs hysterically.
“Oh, my god! I can’t remember the last time I cried,” she yells, shocked, and we both laugh harder.
“My eighth birthday,” I say, reminding her of the night they arrested Chaz. I turn, remembering Bass and Ace are still standing here watching us closely, a strange look upon their faces. They’ve never looked at us this way, without hate, with understanding.
“My, the Little Wolf has a heart,” Bass says mockingly.
“Fuck off, Bass. I still am gonna kick your ass for manhandling me like you did.”
“Come on, you enjoyed it just as much as I did.” He smirks, and a slight blush appears on her cheeks. I look at her and smirk, raising a brow.
“Red,” Ace calls out again, this time coming closer to us.
“Give us a minute, yeah, then we’ll go,” I say to Jade, and she nods glaring at Ace.
She steps toward him, her finger poking at his chest. “You drug her or tie her ass up again and I’ll cut your fucking dick off, Servite,” she hisses, causing both Bass and him to laugh.
“I’ll only tie her up when she’s begging me to, Wolf,” he answers back, and she gasps at his honesty.
“Holy shit,” she says, raising her brows in surprise. “That was kind of hot.”
“Ahh, so you like to beg, Little Wolf?” Bass asks teasingly as he moves in closer to her and places a hand at the small of her back.
“No, but I’d like to see you beg,” she says, turning away from him, flaunting her ass as she walks away.
“Oh, no you don’t!” Bass barks as he follows her, and I can’t help but start laughing at her flirtatiousness.
“Red…”
