“You sure there, Miss Goodie-Goodie,” Terri replies as I take careful steps so there’s no chance of hurting Nicole.
It’s impossible for Nicole to misinterpret the woman’s comment. Confirming my thought, Nicole turns one shade of red after another.
“It’s just that I heard a lot of…um, noise, coming from your apartment.” She pauses for dramatic effect. I continue down, unfazed. Terri surely meant to let Nicole know what she heard. “I wanted to make sure you were okay.”
I reach the landing. “So she knows who owns that pussy,” I say low enough for Nicole’s ears only.
Her lashes drop and her cheeks turn even redder, if that’s possible.
“Um…” Nicole swallows hard. “I am fine, Terri. Just fine.”
“Boy, I’d say so,” Terry replies.
“Please don’t mind her,” she pleads.
“Wouldn’t think of it.” I reach the ground, stepping into a massive puddle that comes up over my boots, soaking the bottom of my jeans. I’m reminded again that Nicole was trying to run in her current condition.
“It’s just that when people show up for someone in this neighborhood, they usually get taken away in handcuffs.”
The image of Nicole, in cuffs, her sweet body over my knees again, fills my mind. “We can try that later.”
Despite the orgasm that she had just minutes ago, her pupils dilate, making my cock stir. This has been such an eye-opening day with my girl. I’m almost ready to forgive her for making me chase her.
Reaching the edge of the water, I step up to the sidewalk and keep going.
“I can walk the rest of the way,” Nicole assures me.
“I’m sure you could.” I continue down the path as the rain comes down around us.
“Half the neighbors are watching,” she says, fidgeting with the umbrella.
I glance toward the building on the right. Curtains twitch in the windows of several apartments along the way. It doesn’t surprise me. People are curious by nature, and with everyone inside and nothing to do, we’re the focus of their attention.
When I get to my SUV, which, thankfully, is still intact. I didn’t think about it, but I should have had my keys in hand. With no other recourse, I put Nicole down on the sidewalk, careful to find a spot where water won’t get into the blue flats she decided on.
I fish the fob out of my pocket, unlocking the door, then opening it for her. She nods, offering a shy smile.
Three guys from another building are hanging out on their second-floor patio. Their focus is squarely on Nicole. They’re giving her way too much attention and I don’t like it, not at all.
When she steps closer, I reach for the umbrella, leaving her confused. Without a word, I cup the back of her head, crushing my mouth to hers. I keep her there, despite the catcalls, until she gives in, letting my tongue past her lips.
Satisfied, I release her, leaving her looking a little dazed.
I don’t like that these guys are watching her. I don’t like that they probably watched her when she got here. While I can’t change that, I can make sure that’s the last time they ogle her. I’ll be damned if she ever comes back here.
I circle around the back of the SUV, sparing a glance at the balcony. Two are back to talking to each other, the third one pulls out his phone, his attention still focused in our direction.
Annoyed, I yank the door open then climb in behind the wheel and lock the doors.
“You buckled in?” I ask, taking care of the same task.
“Yes.” She nods, adding a sweet smile while I start the engine.
As I pull out onto the street, her phone rings. Nicole pulls it from her bag and stares at the screen. I give a quick glance out of the corner of my eye to find her biting her bottom lip.
Jealously tears at me from inside. That asshole on the patio wouldn’t dare. I turn toward her. “Who’s calling?”
