“She’s probably sick of us and looking forward to being away.” I gather my belongings and lock my computer screen.
“You’re probably right. Let’s go.”
We take the elevator down to the parking garage where we find the others waiting next to Noah’s black Bentley Bentayga. It’s a far cry from my small two-door vehicle, but I can’t complain when I get to ride in luxury. Brody and Chance bothkiss me hello. Then Brody opens the back passenger door and helps me inside before circling around the back and taking the seat next to me. We pull out of the garage and onto the main road.
Curiosity gets the best of me and I ask, “Where are we going?”
Chance looks back at me from the front seat. “You’ll just have to wait and see, beautiful.” His usually charming smile only annoys me right now as the three of them refuse to tell me anything.
As I pout in my seat and watch the scenery change, I tune out their voices while they discuss work. Shops and restaurants zip by, and the cityscape fades into residential communities. Are we leaving the city?
Noah turns onto an almost hidden side road, driving for a few miles before stopping at a towering iron gate. A security guard exits a small booth at the far side of the gate and approaches our vehicle. “Afternoon, Mr. Kincaid.”
“Hi, Travis. We’re just stopping by for a few minutes.”
“Take your time. The place is all yours.” The guard winks at Noah, then opens the gate.
We ride down a secluded driveway, and I lean over to Brody. “What is this place?” I whisper.
“Nope.” He shakes his head. “Not yet, pretty girl.” And I pinch my lips with frustration.
We’re moving along the path through a thick forest when suddenly the trees clear and reveal an opulent mansion. I gasp as I stare out the window. No one says anything until Noah pulls into the circular drive and parks the car.
“Let’s take a look inside, shall we?” He exits the driver’s seat and assists me out of the vehicle.
I’m awestruck when he unlocks the door and we step into the palatial estate. “Whose house is this?” I ask, twirling around to take in the luxurious furnishings and spectacular decor.
“It’s ours, beautiful.” Chance sweeps me into his arms and spins me around.
When he places me back on my feet, my head is light and my heart is giddy. “You guys are moving in here?” I’m filled with wonder as I take everything in.
“We’removing in here,” Brody corrects. “Do you like it?”
My eyes grow as wide as saucers. “You mean all of us?”
He laughs and tugs me into his comforting embrace. “I love you, pretty girl. Don’t ever change.” This isn’t the first time he’s told me he loves me, but my stomach flutters whenever one of them says it.
“This way.” Noah nods to the massive staircase, and I follow behind him with the others in tow. He takes me on a brief tour, showing me all the bedrooms, the private marina, pool, gym, and home theater. There’s more to see, but my head’s whirling, so we stop in the gourmet kitchen for some water.
“I… I can’t believe… When did you?—”
“We’ve been talking about it for a while,” he confesses. “Not long after we started spending so much time together, I wondered if you might need some space of your own. Not because you wanted to be away from us or us from you. But understanding we all might need some downtime every now and then.”
I smile at him affectionately, relieved he could see what I needed even before I asked. “So you bought this place? Because you couldn’t find anything bigger?” I joke.
“If you want something bigger, then I’ll happily build it for you.” He grabs me by the waist and pulls our bodies together. “We’ll give you anything you want as long as you’re ours.”
I gaze into his intense blue eyes. “I’m yours for as long as you’ll have me.”
“That settles it,” Brody exclaims with his signature boyish grin. “I guess we’re getting married.”
“Wait. What?” I sputter before glancing at each of them.
Chance admonishes his friend. “We said we’d wait to ask her.”
“But I’m not asking,” Brody clarifies and coaxes me away from Noah’s arms. “I love you. We all do. And I know you love us.”
“More than anything,” I confirm.
