“Of course,” I answer.

“But you’ll do your thinking at home, not here at the club,” Noah warns, and Selena scowls at him.

“Fine. If I can’t be here, then neither can you.”

“Fine.” He smirks, but it’s menacing like he wants to devour her on the spot.

“And no other women until I decide.” She points a finger at the three of us. Seems our girl is the possessive type. Good thing we find that attractive. “And just to be sure of it, we’ll all leave together. Right now.”

I smile at her bravado as we lead her out of the club. She may think she’s in charge, but with a little time spent in our company, she’ll figure out who’s really in control here.

NOAH

That fucking dress.

It haunted my dreams as I tossed and turned all night. She was ravishing, a fucking vision. And I wanted to murder every single man who looked at her.

Especially the one who dared to hit on her.

I scowl at the memory of his face when I approached them at the bar. He folded like a lawn chair and ran off with his tail between his legs. He didn’t deserve her if his first instinct was to retreat. Selena needs men who’ll fight for her, and I realize it might take a bit of convincing for her to see that.

I came into work early today, wanting to be here the moment she arrives. After twenty minutes of checking emails, I watch as she finally strolls off the elevator and the air is knocked from my lungs. She’s elegant in a white, sleeveless mock-turtleneck paired with a fitted black skirt and simple black heels. Those pointed-toe pumps never fail to get a rise out of my cock.

“Good morning, Ms. Abernathy.” Her voice is cheery and sweet as she greets our longtime employee. Selena has a kind smile on her face, but the grumpy ol’ girl doesn’t return her gesture. She nods in Selena’s direction, so I guess that’ssomething. I’ve known Brenda for years and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen her smile. If anyone can coax one out of her, it’s Selena.

As our assistant walks over to her desk, her gaze lifts to meet mine. She stutter-steps but quickly regains her composure before dropping in her chair and preparing for the day. Fuck, it makes sense for her to avoid us and keep things professional in the office. But I’d foolishly hoped that she wouldn’t.

Brody was furious that we let her leave last night without driving her home, but what could we do? She asked for space to make her decision and I’m not going to pressure her into making one. She needs to come to us on her own terms, and not when we demand it of her.

I lean back in my chair and let out a frustrated groan as I stare at the ceiling. I’m lost in my thoughts when there’s a knock on the door. Lowering my head, I find Chance standing in the doorway.

“Sleep well?” He raises an eyebrow at me, probably noticing I didn’t shave today, which is unusual. I narrow my gaze at him without responding. “Have you spoken to her yet?”

“I thought we were giving her time?” I remind him.

“We did. We gave her last night.”

He’s never been one to exhibit patience, but this is one thing that can’t be rushed. Selena deserves to know what she’s getting into, and that’s why I’ve decided to have a meeting with her. Clear up any confusion and answer her questions.

“One night is not enough time,” I declare.

“Maybe we should…” He trails off, rubbing the back of his neck.

“I know this isn’t your strong suit, but we need to wait this one out.”

Chance’s brows knit together. He doesn’t say anything else, though.

Moments later, Brody joins us, looking like hell with a large coffee in his hand. He drops on the couch and groans. “She’s killing me in that fucking skirt today. Have you guys seen her?”

We’re acting like a bunch of horny teenagers and not the executives of a Fortune 500 company.

“Yes, we’ve seen her, but maybe I should have another look.” Chance grins before glancing out into the office suite.

“Here’s a thought. Maybe we should send her home so we can actually get some damn work done. Since you two can only think with your dicks today.” I chastise my best friends.

“Don’t act like you’ve accomplished a damn thing since she got here this morning.” Chance rolls his eyes at me before plopping on the couch next to Brody. He’s right, but I don’t bother admitting it.
