She was breathtaking.

“Well, Grinchy… your heart isn’t the only thing growing three sizes this Christmas.”

“Believe me, if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows.”

She burst out laughing.

This was one of my favorite things about our relationship. We could go from such an intense moment to laughing with each other like it was nothing. It was easy.

“Nice wrapping, but I need to inspect it.”

“So you do wanna Scrooge?”

She laughed again.

“I mean, you did wear the Santa suit. I guess it’s the least I can do.”

“And then what happens tomorrow?”

“You can buy me breakfast.”

I smiled. “Then we’re making it a not-so-silent night?”

“You don’t even have to wrap your package for me.”

I really smiled that time. “I’ve never?—”

“Me neither, and I’m on the pill.”

I didn’t have to be told twice…

NOELLE

He mischievously grinned, crawling up my body, kissing and sucking his way up to my lips.

He kissed me hard.

Stifling my words.

My thoughts.

My entire being.

My tongue sought his out, and our kiss quickly turned into its own thing, like we were starving for one another.

Something was agonizing about the way we were moving. He caressed the side of my face, my breasts, and the back of my thighs like he didn’t know where he wanted to touch me the most.

I placed my hand on his rapidly beating heart that was pounding against my chest, staring profusely into his eyes.

The devotion.

The adoration.

The love…

It was all there, staring right back at me.

“There she is … there’s my girl.”
