‘To be fair, we usually have to tell Cal where he is and what he’s supposed to be doing,’ Aidan says, and I love the smooth sound of his voice.

‘That’s why we made Aidey UBL,’ Cal says. ‘’Cause he’s like the spokesperson… the organiser.’

‘What’s UBL?’ Kelly asks, and my shoulders start to tremble. ‘That sounds potentially like a really unfortunate nickname.’

‘Unofficial Band Leader,’ Ravi confirms.

‘That doesn’t make him the boss,’ Miller adds. ‘More like a mom, you know. Like when you’re a kid and you’re supposed to be getting ready for school and your mom’s yelling at you because you’re gonna be late for class.’

‘So, Aidan’s like the mother hen of the group?’ Kelly laughs.

I’m still smiling as Aidan sighs and says, ‘I can feel whatever credibility I had left totally going down the toilet here.’

‘No, no, you’re like the glue,’ Ravi argues. ‘You’re the glue that sticks us all together.’

‘Still not making me look cool, Rav,’ Aidan says.

‘I can see J.B. sitting in the corner here, keeping very quiet,’ Scott says.

‘None of them are cool,’ J.B. purrs smoothly. ‘Just me, you know?’

There is a barrage of abuse hurled at J.B. as I chuckle into my coffee. ‘Because I am from France,’ he says over the groans, both DJs bursting into laughter.

‘Now let’s be serious,’ Kelly says. ‘You guys have been everywhere lately, promoting your new documentary, called “Heartbeats”. It’s getting a big movie release; the premiere istonightin London’s Leicester Square. The critics arescreamingabout how great it is, filmed during the earlier part of your Reunification tour. It’s going to behuge. Now, are you all going to the premiere together, or are you all going separately and taking partners?’

‘Aidey’s taking our director,’ Miller says.

‘Lovely Lexi,’ Cal echoes. I shake my head again, yet I’m still grinning uncontrollably in the kitchen.

‘I had the very great pleasure of falling in love with our director,’ Aidan says, in all seriousness. ‘But no, I won’t be taking her tonight; she’ll be taking me as her date.’

I stare out of the window, warmth in my heart. I’ve been promoting the documentary, my relationship with Aidan only increasing the amount of media interest. For my birthday, he took me to Paris. I haven’t checked, but apparently the Rebelles approve of me.

‘Ahh, yes we all saw the Maxwell Horton episode that went viral on social media,’ Kelly says, to more applause.

‘So, who are the rest of you taking?’ Scott asks.

‘I’m taking Bianca Lawson, hottest chick on the planet, of course,’ Cal pipes up.

‘Who isinthe documentary!’ Kelly blurts.

‘She certainly is,’ Cal says. ‘So, everybody has to go see it, soon as.’

‘I’m taking my boyfriend, Tun,’ Ravi says and I can tell he’s also smiling.

‘Does it feel really nice that you can say that out loud?’ Kelly asks.

‘It’s thebestfeeling,’ Ravi says and there’s another ripple of applause in the studio. ‘The fans have all been so nice. So supportive.’

‘Well, we’re so happy for you,’ Kelly says. ‘J.B., who are you taking?’

‘Audrey. Our son is too small, so he is staying with his grandparents.’

‘So… it’s party time for you both then?’ Scott asks.

‘We’re gonna go crazy,’ J.B. laughs.

‘And lastly, Miller, who are you taking?’ Scott asks.
