As I catch myself biting back my amusement, my phone vibrates with another message.

Reeves

And that wasn’t an answer, by the way.

Me

Yes, I’ll introduce you.

Reeves

I knew you were my favorite. Do you have any preference for what game we play?

I look up at the girls and ask, “Any preferences for what game you want to play during Game Night?”

“Oo, we can pick?” Finley asks.

I look down at my phone and reread Reeves’ message. “Apparently.”

“What about Sardines?” Dylan offers.

Finley’s eyes light up. “Oo, how ‘bout Spin the Bottle?”

“Yeah, ‘cause your brother will totally approve,” I quip.

“Or your boyfriend,” Dylan jokes.

Finley counters, “Har, har. I suggested it so you could finally get someone to kiss those virgin lips.”

Dylan huffs, “Hey, I’ve been kissed before.”

“Yeah. Twice,” Finley reminds her. “And you’re eighteen. It’s both adorable and supremely pathetic. Come on, Dylan. The more you do it, the less scary it is.”

“For you, maybe.” Dylan shivers. “The last guy I kissed passed me his bubble gum.”

My face sours. “Gross.”

“You have no idea,” Dylan deadpans.

“Yeah. And let’s not forget her first kiss, shall we?” Finley chimes in, not even bothering to hide her amusement. “I still can’t believe you got so drunk, when he stuck his tongue into your mouth, it triggered your gag reflex, and you almost puked all over him.”

Dylan glares back at her. “I’m so glad I told you the story.”

Finley grins wider. “So am I.”

“Anyway,” Dylan turns back to me. “What about Truth or Dare?”

“We always play Truth or Dare.”

“Duh, because it’s a classic,” Finley says. “But if you’re not in the mood, we could always do Never Have I Ever.”

“Oo, I like that one!” Dylan chirps. “I always win.”

“Or lose since you always end the night sober,” I say without bothering to smother my amusement.

She pouts. “Good point. I haven’t done anything fun.”

“You’ve done lots of fun things. But not many of them are called out when we play Never Have I Ever,” I tell her. “That being said, I think it’s a good starting game. Do you guys agree?”
