To the hunt.
I saw Xavier on the ground down below, rushing through the forest in a blur, keeping pace with me on land.
They almost had me.
And the thrill was like nothing else.
I wanted to continue evading them and relish being chased, but I also wanted them to catch me and ravish the hell out of me.
They’d had me pick a safe word and the thought of it made me smile.
Marshmallow.
Because I loved them so much, it would come easy to me in the moment, they’d said.
But it wouldn’t, because I had no intention of using it.
Iwantedthings to get out of control.
I needed that freedom of things being wild as all fuck.
The dirtiness.
The depravity.
The danger.
I was at the point now where I trusted Xavier, Orpheus, and Talon to give it to me.
I saw Talon gaining on me, about to reach out with his talons and touch me—or, more like, scrape me. That would set me off and turn me on and I’d lose my concentration flying, and the chase would be over all too quickly.
And I had to admit that it was the most invigorating thing I’d ever been a part of.
As much as I wanted to get to the next part—them ravaging the fuck out of me—I didn’t want this part to end too early either. I was having the time of my life.
So, I dove down and tucked my wings in slightly so I could dart in and out through the trees at rapid-fire speed.
It had me losing Talon who couldn’t risk going through the trees because of the fire of his wings that could set them alight all too easily. He soared overhead instead, but he couldn’t get at me.
Orpheus didn’t have that same issue, though, and he was following my path in moments, not worrying so much about navigating through the trees because his wings were so hard and near-impenetrable that it didn’t do a thing to them when he clipped this branch and that on his way through.
“Coming for you, little angel!” he called out.
Shit.He was gaining on me too quickly.
He was gonna catch me if I didn’t do something.
I soared up into the air and he followed.
The moment he did, I dropped really quickly, making a sharp dive back into the heart of the forest.
And then I landed quickly and put my wings away.
“Phew,” I whispered to myself, wiping sweat off my brow and fixing my pastel-green backless lace dress with the tassels all over and then pulling up my white knee-high boots. I wasn’twearing any panties, wanting to tease the guys as they’d chased me.
It sure had worked, because the moment they’d caught sight of it as I’d taken off flying, they’d gone crazy with chasing me, going from casually playing, to full-on hunting me.
I darted into the trees, walking all stealth.
