“What do you have in mind to restrain him?”

The former Navy SEAL grabbed Feldman’s wrists, locking them together with a heavy zip-tie.

“Damn, bro. You came prepared.”

Colton grunted in amusement. “You have no idea.”

This altercation must be nothing compared to the things he and his team had seen.

Once Colton had the investor immobilized, Zach gripped him by the arm. He may not be a SEAL like Colton, but he knew how to deadlift heavy objects. In this case, Feldman.

The man groaned as he threw him over his shoulder. He jerked his head toward the door in the wall.

“What’s behind the door?” he asked Colton.

He rushed forward and opened it with a hint of caution. He did a quick sweep of the inside.

“Empty storage closet. And a nice, sturdy lock for keeping people inside.”

“Perfect.” In two steps, Zach dropped Feldman on the floor.

The man cried out and curled up on his side. “Don’t kill me.”

Zach looked him dead in the eyes. “You deserve torture for what you did to Opal and her daughter, and I suspect the entire Gracey family and so many others.”

He whimpered like the coward he was.

Zach nudged him with the toe of his boot. “How many guards do you have planted?”

When he didn’t immediately reply, Zach drove his boot into his ribs.

“Ahh! Ten! Ten guards!”

Colton was already turning to leave. Zach followed, slamming and locking the storage closet behind him.

In stealth mode, Colton rushed through the house, pausing at corners to check for threats. They made it outside. The air carried a sharp tang of autumn mixed with gunpowder.

Hunter stood sentry over four men who were tied up in the same way as Feldman. He looked up as Zach and Colton left the house, his lip twisted with a sneer for the assholes working for Feldman.

“There are ten.” Zach swung his head left and right.

Hunter gave a jerk of a nod. “Carver’s got two by the garage.”

“Opal?”

“She and the kid are locked in the truck. Ledger’s got point.”

Zach traded a look with Colton. “That leaves four men to hunt down. You ready?”

“Damn right. Let’s go.”

They took off in quick, silent steps, cutting around the side of the large house. They moved like ghosts in the shadows, pushing deeper into the darkness of the back yard. The sprawling lawn ran a couple hundred feet into the forest.

“These guys could be anywhere,” he snarled.

“My guess is that they scattered into the woods when they heard the shots.”

“But they don’t know the woods like we do.”
