The women were left alone to fight it out. If I’d had to guess, I would have said that they were both in their very early twenties. Both were bottled blonds, easily identified by their black roots, long hair that looked a wreck now. They were beautiful women if not for their twisted expressions as they fought. They were thin, but not in an unhealthy way.
Shrieks filled the air as one of them managed to rip the hair extensions out of the head of the other one. That woman retaliated by reaching for a discarded bottle on the nearest table. It wasn’t until she brought it up to bash her opponent in the head with it that someone finally intervened.
“Fight fair, bitch!” One of the men standing close by grabbed her around the wrist, grinning down into her twisted, upturned face.
“She tore out my hair!” she wailed, struggling against him.
“You can glue them back in later,” he said unsympathetically. “Fight’s over.” He pulled her behind him as if to put more distance between her and the other woman before he released her wrist.
And just like that, it was over.
Chapter 13
Loco
I’d fucked up.
I’d fucked up by fucking Millie.
I’d fucked up by bringing her to the clubhouse.
I’d fucked up by letting Kelly grind her skanky ass against my dick when I’d known that Millie would see. I’d had something to prove--to myself, and maybe also to her. Especially after that fucking hot kiss at the bar. I wasn’t a one-woman man, and for a second the thought that I could be had crossed my mind and had scared the ever-loving fuck out of me. It was a sobering thought considering that I’d just met the woman, and she was so far removed from my usual taste in women that I’d freaked and pulled away from her.
I was doing her a favor.
This was my home, my life, and now she knew firsthand how much of a fucking bastard I really was. It hadn’t been my intention to throw it in her face. I’d brought her here for a little taste of the wild side, so that she could let her hair down, because deep down I knew that she was a good girl. She played it safe because that’s what good girls did.
She let a few extra pounds hold her back, chip away at her confidence. She had no idea how fucking beautiful she was, and watching her with Doc, I could see that he knew it, too. Doc was one of the good brothers. Saved more lives than he took. He could be counted on when we went to war against another club, was as loyal and lethal as the rest of us, but you’d never guess it when you were with him, or by looking at him. I’d seen firsthand what he could do to someone who’d underestimated him.
He was a better fit for Millie than I was.
What the fuck was I thinking? I didn’t want another brother to have her.
I ran my hands through my hair. I needed to get her out of here, away from Doc. I smirked. They looked chummy enough sitting at the bar, talking and laughing. He probably wouldn’t thank me, but I also knew that he wouldn’t stop me. I’d known Doc a long time and I’d never seen him fight for the attention of a woman. If another brother showed interest in one, he always stepped back. I had a feeling though that if the right woman came along it would be a different story.
Shit. Kelly was coming back. I’d told her to get lost after her grinding had only managed to produce half a chub. My heart hadn’t been in it, and apparently neither had my dick. She was a new club bitch, one of three we’d initiated into the club recently. Lulu was gone. Cherry and Mitzi were all that was left of the original girls, and they didn’t look like they were going anywhere any time soon. Brothers were dropping like flies, though, finding their old ladies. But there were still a few of us who refused to join their club and preferred the freedom of variety.
Kelly’s smile grew when she saw my eyes drop to her tits. I had to admit that they were nice, but not as nice as a certain green-eyed redhead sitting at the bar looking way too cozy with Doc. The attraction between Millie and me had been fucking intense the first day at the pool, and then later in her apartment, but looking at her now you wouldn’t know it. I wasn’t sure I liked being ignored, but then again, I’d deserted her and let another woman on my lap.
“Hey, honey, you want to take up where we left off?”
At least Kelly didn’t come right out and mention my earlier inadequate hard-on. I snorted, removing her hand from my hair. Never did like it being ruffled. Now pulling it during sex--that was a different matter. “Maybe later,” I responded, keeping my eyes on Millie and Doc.
Kelly glided around me, making sure her tits brushed against my cheek. The girls all did that move hoping to change my mind when I’d pass on their services.
“You sure?”
God, I hated when a woman didn’t get the message. Couldn’t she tell that I wasn’t interested? I couldn’t blame her for her persistence, though. It was her job, after all. I sensed her moving away when I didn’t answer her.
“Fuck, brother, you sick?”
I gave Happy my finger. “Not feeling it.” Until recently Happy had been a nomad until joining our MC.
“I wonder why. You’ve been eye-fucking that curvy redhead since you left her at the bar. If you want her, why’d you leave her?”
I met Happy’s bloodshot eyes. He wasn’t drunk. He was exhausted from being on the road for two days. “You see that table over there?” I pointed to where Sax, Cole, and our president, Demon, were sitting together. Each one had a beautiful old lady sitting on their lap. “That’s why, brother. I don’t intend to join their little pussy-whipped club.”
Happy laughed. “I don’t know, man. I’d do anything to get a woman who looked half as good as any of theirs.”
